Do you think it is wise to not give a market ban? after all christmas cracker was brought back after a boo-hoo pardon and look what he done, i truly feel he is a threat to the community, and perhaps you should rethink what you have done.


after all you are here to help protect the community, and run this site, and keep it safe.

however i do not think you are doing a good job with this in these past few months.

also staff is breaking their own rules.


so if you are going to jump on people you guys should atleast follow the same rules you people come up with.

There is no longer any "conditional support" - (ie. "support, but with a permanent market ban/trade with caution/last chance usergroup") - staff supporting a pardon request must be fully confident that if the user returns, they are not going to be a further problem for the community, and that they truly deserve full reinstatement.

Yet you guys decided he needed a TWC


so that is showing either

A.) the current pardon system is flawed
or
b.) Staff is letting back someone who could still be a threat

which brings my statement about recent decision making back into veiw.



I myself am a promise child of the pardon system, and even i think its currently to easy to get pardon, If staff can't make better decisions.

Besides the obvious fact Plznate has friends on staff (Dragon Dyce hosts, old friends), I don't see why he was given a "we sort of trust you" situation. You're exposing members to risk and providing a user with access he doesn't deserve. What is staff becoming these days...

I honestly cannot remember the last time a DD host got promoted to mod. Personally I was gone from DD before I was promoted. And obviously there is going to be a correlation between DD hosts and mod because both positions require extreme trust; if you cannot be trusted you will not be either.

Aside from plznate what cases are you talking about in the past few months?

The staff went to shit a long time ago.

These same staff members vote against ban evaders and people who never did anything half as bad as scamming. Smh.

There is prob another 5 i could dig up in the past 6 months if i wanted. but i'm not as my point is proven time and time again.

you perm ban people for griefing staff etc, who for the most part are good members, yet you pardon scammers, and allow them to come back and prey upon sythe users time and time again.



i mean hell even that piav guy was vading, and had a post directly above n4n0 saying hey guys its piav here just saying good bye, yet i was the one who had to bring it to the attention of staff, i mean how the fuck do you miss this kind of stuff?

and as for the DD host no it doesn't take trust, anyone with the money could buy the rank. i mean hell you have atleast two ex-scammers on staff.
and i did not state it was recent promotions. the only person out of the like 4 or 5 current/ex DD host who Havn't been promoted to mod is prob the owner himself.

Hell i can promise the only reason frenzy is on staff is because of hanging out with superman on teamspeak for hours on end, and being a DD host if it wasn't for that know one when even know who she is.

Oh also, holy shit you guys denied Feren Silver, saying he broke trust and shit while being an OMM for ATTEMPTING TO SCAM.

Plznate was an OMM and a global mod, and he scammed 4 fucking THOUSAND dollars, but hey, people can't change except those who are liked by the staff.

Also good job hattez for bringing it up here: http://www.sythe.org/spam-forum/1592195-feren-vs-plznate.html, the hypocrisy is tangible. And obviously his thread was locked, because you can't have people discussing hypocritical actions by staff, that would be terrible. ç__ç poor staff.

On topic of pardons, the system is assimilated with the ties of said user and how well known and community orientated they were, aswell as if staff knew them, and or were friends with them. This is most definitely a negative factor.

The nature of pardons and how they are perceived is subpar at best. It annoys me that we lose users who have committed minor offences, and return to pardon years/months later, only to have their pardon overlook due to their lack of an elevated status.

I understand that staff prefer to withhold from posting on pardons they are unfamiliar with, as judgement based decisions can go wayward. However, I strongly believe that all pardons, regardless of said users ties should be looked into and posted on by all mods and globals mods. I see so many pardons for various small offences that get looked over due to not being known well enough, and exceeding the 7 day support quota.

Woah hold up right there. Blaming the staff for users getting scammed just makes you look silly. Did we choose to trade with them? No we didnt. Blame the people who traded with these guys again, not the staff. Its out of the staffs control.


Learn where to correctly put the blame.


And if I still had 1 vote veto = end of pardon power.....well some of those clowns would have never made it back.

Seems to be a pretty fair amount of misinformation in this thread, from people who were not aware of the circumstances at the time.

Nick, I have not spoken to anyone DD related in years. N4n0, the only other person (from my understanding) who was in DD the same time as me before my ban, actually did not offer support on my first 2 pardons. I do not know his thoughts on the recent one. So your claim is erroneous.

User A: admits to trying to scam $10,000s, gets banned from being caught in the act.

User B: doesnt repay debts he owes, gets permanently banned (there was never a "pay everyone back and you will be unbanned contingency), and pays back $4,000 regardless.

Am I missing something?

If my intention were to scam people before getting banned, then I did a pretty piss poor job. Anyone who doesn't think that I could have actually pulled off where Feren TRIED to pull off is pretty foolish. Because I could have.

Nate could have scammed 10 - 15k before we could have stopped him if he wanted to.

If you guys are going to try to stir shit up with the staff at least have a clue what your talking about first. Thats why we hit the lock and delete buttons so fast. If something is flat out proven to be untrue I will see that it gets locked or deleted. If it is true then let it go onward. I will not sit back and let a select group of users make hate threads against us that are simply filled with false information.

Twisting stories and facts to try to justify your points and/or get a stir going isn't going to work because I see right through it.
