    Although I still think there should be a notification of demotion, whether the reason is stated or not.

    If they are demoted, it obviously wasn't a reason that could potentially concern you, because if it was something that put people into potential jeopardy, they would be banned. If they are banned, it doesn't matter anyway, they are banned.

    You don't go into a McDonalds and ask for a current list of managers and employees as well as any current promotions, demotions, terminations made. It's frankly none of your business, Sythe isn't any different.

    That is an extremely bad analogy. A better one would be us being students, and mods being teachers. You have the same set of teachers everyday, then one day one teacher is different. No one will go about things regularly as if nothing happened, you will be told whether it's a substitute or that they have moved to another job or some other vague excuse, but you are told none the less.

    That's always the case.

    But, I don't see why it matters if a staff member gets demoted and a reason isn't given to the public. Obviously it was a personal issue and the person is still on Sythe, unless they scam of course. You guys are making this a big deal.

    Were not makeing a big deal but it would be nice to be informed of demotions and promotions ect...... the reason doesent have to be listed ....

    I don't understand why anyone would care about very minor staff changes. The major ones are specified and those are the ones that matter. If we were to announce every little change, not only would people become apathetic to the entire thing, but it would spoil the sometimes euphoric nature of a promotion, as they're quite rare and tend to be the only announcements we make.

    I support 100%. I hate it when you're surfing through threads just to see that someone you trust has been banned without your knowledge, Syed for example. I have him on msn, he is banned (For unknown reasons) and I could have easily done a deal with him over msn without ever even bringing Sythe into the picture, and probably have gotten scammed.

    I understand Sythe cannot do this with all of its members, but any members with ranks, at least.

    I think if they get banned then yes but if they get demoted it should only be known to the public if the ex staff member wants you to know. The reason for this is because if you are banned then they shouldn't be on sythe much anymore if they can't create another account so they won't know.

    You are wrong. Sythe operates because the community of people use it.
    Without the community, there would be no Sythe.org. The community is the MOST important part of the site as a whole. Thus, it is our business to know.

    This sums everything up nicely.

    I support this. I believe if a mod/staff w/e has been banned it should be noted and told that they have scammed. So people don't think well it must be a mistake.

    You've obviously never had a Professor fired in the middle of the semester. They aren't allowed to tell you the reasoning behind why the instructor left, it is unethical. Your statement is based on flawed logic and because of that is baseless and null.

    My analogy relates Sythe to McDonalds in the way that they are both businesses, whether you acknowledge one as any more of a community than the other is not important, and the issue at hand relates to staff.
