Revert Sythe logo

It's been over a week since Halloween ended. Sythe main logo should be reverted imo.

 

Agreeing. Change it back or change it to something else cool but fitting.

 

It will be reverted back once sythe got the time to do it.

Irrelevant, considering I dont think they've ever used a custom logo for Halloween before. Its not about Halloween; its about the logo.

I dont think the reason he has not reverted it is because it doesnt fit in his schedule.

Ill assume either he did not remember or has not yet cared to do so, considering it shouldnt take that long to revert. Either way, deserves the reminder/suggestion.

 

We're waiting on Felix to get the next designs up for Sythe Logo and we're aware. Sythe Logo will rarely if ever stay bare, but with constant different styles depending on holiday or games or anything of relevance over the months.

Once the next logo is up, the CDT will have another monthly logo competition for Xmas.

 

• Assumptions are bad for business.
• This would take a matter of seconds to fix.
• There are far more pressing matters to be taken care of and once Sythe realizes it needs adjusted/reverted, it shall be done.

 

Host it a few weeks before December so we can have the logo up for the whole Christmas month.

 

The thread for the Xmas Sythe Logo shall be up ASAP; hopefully entries/voting will be done before the end of November.

 

Apparently that is still the case. In my opinion, it should be reverted to the original Sythe logo when there is no special holiday going on; that's what the original logo is for. The Halloween logo is no longer appropriate.

@Sonia believes it should always be a special logo and will just switch whenever a new one is found. In this case that would be XMAS in December.

 

I went through to check and make sure all of the Halloween-related CDT events (in Community General) were closed. They all appear to be completed. One thread was left open accidentally.

 

Was waiting on @Felix to design this for the rest of November.

If people feel having a specific logo for each month is needed rather than an extra 15 days over each month we can work out to have monthly events before-hand for holidays/games.

I.E. 15th October - 15th November, or 1st Dec-31st Dec.

 

I like having a new Sythe logo based on whatever activity/holiday is going on that month. Great little idea.

My opinion is that holiday themed logos should be removed 1 - 2 days after the end of the holiday. There's no reason to extend it further. The logo should be reverted to the classic logo or some special logo like the Rocket League one you just presented.

So when Sythe asked if he should've reverted the logo back, it should've just been reverted until the Rocket League one was ready.

As for holiday timelines, it would be good to do the design competitions early like other people suggested, and use the holiday logo for a month. (i.e. Dec 1 - 31)

 

Like I said, I checked threads in Community General. I did not realize you had a thread on-going in Community Input (Feedback sub-section).

I don't think the Halloween-themed logo is needed any longer as the majority of Halloween-related CDT events have come to a close. What is your opinion regarding this? When would you like it removed if it remains?
