Requested TWC taking too long

It hasn't been applied. Did Dave miss it or is it on queue?

 

When I was a moderator, I remember it once taking up to 2 weeks for a TWC request to go through.

I think it would be a great idea for Matthew to make some sort of system for moderators to give TWC's and SRB's. It would be easy, just an input field on a page in the ModCP where they enter a username and it gives them one (all you'd need is to run a quick SQL query to update it). Administrators and globals are often busy with their lives so there should be more people able to do it.

 

I'm not sure on allowing sectional mods to be able to give out TWCs and stuff. Every now and again a sectional might make a mistake or misjudgement on whether someone should have a TWC or not. So they might give out a TWC when one isn't really needed for user. Plus you might get the odd troll here and there.

However Globals having the ability to give out a TWC sounds good.

 

But they're just as easily reversed, just like a ban.

 

Ban can be reversed by global pretty sure TWC can't be reversed by globals.

 

SRB and TWC should be handled by Globals+

But it'd be nice if at least market mods could apply TWCs.

 

I thought all the admins say they spend their time doing things like giving out TwCs....why is it taking two weeks then? We have 7 admins it should be done within a day.

 

Just to let you know, its still waiting to be applied, so no worries that he'll get it.

I think its a good idea for globals to be granted permissions to update anything TwC related.

 

I'll make a suggestion thread perhaps so it's actually seen.

But seriously, this is a bit ridiculous. TWC's should be higher priority than spam reports and what not because TWC worthy events like this are 9/10 threats to the community where as spam reports are just that ... spam. Market mods and globals+ should be able to handle these types of events although with 7 admins this should be no problem at all.

Honestly even if all mods had the ability to twc it shouldnt be a big deal as its easily reversed and if it deters threats, if a mod gives them out willy nilly or for the wrong reasons he/she shouldnt be a moderator in the first place.

 

It's been handled. I'm the only one handling TWC requests, and I hadn't checked the thread in a couple days. Normally I get them same-day.
