My bro has thousands (SERIOUSLY) of old games for pretty much every system. Sometimes he sells of his games he got off of Ebay for a steal and makes a decent profit but he usually keeps them because, well, I don't really know, but he just loves all old games.

Certainly would mind taking the time to talk you out of investing into today's latest consoles, and games. Why wouldn't you invest in the first, and second Pokemon series cartridges and leave it at that? There's a 100% chance they will continue to soar in price, where as you're gambling on today's games that have no solid financial foundation of continuing to increase in wealth.

There are plenty of other methods to make money ALOT faster than having to store a few games away for 10-20 years......

Since video games such as COD have sold tens of millions of copies, I couldn't see them being that rare. I do know that near the college campus I live at, there is a store that sells new releases, as well as some old school gaming systems and games such as N64 along with Super Smash Bros. And the SSB cartridge was priced at more than the latest COD game. If you have anything in MINT condition before 2000, store it. If not, I really wouldn't consider them an expensive collectible.

I personally invest in brand new (shrink wrapped) Final Fantasy games. I currently have almost the whole collection in brand new condition (including the Game Boy series) and much more. Some I'd like to order from Japan but it's difficult to work with the Japanese.

Good investment since Final Fantasy has been around since 1988 and it's a world-wide known game series.

SNK Neo Geo games are rather expensive and rare. Especially the Metal Slug series.

threads old im suprised it didnt die. Ive ben buying older games at garage sales and the sort and off my freinds and ive made around 800$ in the last 3 1/2 months. the only disc games I ever buy are knights of the old republic and a few gamecube games otherwise Without those exeptions I havn't bought a single disk game theres just no value in them at all. the closest thing to a complete or good condition game that wasnt cartridge only was a copy of gargoyles for genesis in the originol cardboard packaging that came with a badass poster. ill post pics if I can find it later. it was opened but still sold for 35$ compared to most genesis games being like 5$ tops

id still love to buy a few sealed gamboy/gamecube games to put in a frame in my gameroom and keep them forever.

Everything ages with time, but does not necessarily gain value. I think having perhaps all the COD games unopened would be neat.
