Spamming Question

I received a warning about "spamming", here, and I PM'ed Nathan' back because I didn't quite get how it was spam, and didn't get a reply.
So, I am still here wondering, how my post was spam.
The topic creator was wondering if there was a way to go back to the old Facebook, and I replied saying, that I didn't think there was, and also explaining that there was a way to before, but it was gone.
