Spam forum rules suggestion

1. Attacking or disrespecting staff members

i think its complete nonsense that mods are not allowed to be attacked in spam forum.
it allows a situation where mods can attack as they please but giving them their own medicine is in violation of the rules, they can then act on it. its an inherent balance of power issue with a rule like that.

no support i think the rule is fine as it is, i don't think they are going to amend it to say 'and please do not hurt taco's feelings'

 

Lets just say the SF rules used be a little to far reaching in the past.

Now Sythe has remedied that to be honest I'm scared to add anything new rule wise there, the last rule gave staff WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to much power.

It's probably not a bad idea to have an option which stops you from getting alerts if they originate from the spam forum.

 

my plight aside, i think my first suggestion is fair as it basically solves that balance of power issue. call a mod a pussy in their and you can be penalized, yet theyre allowed to throw whatever they want out. but no farcast, my posts in the spam forum have simply been stating i am not participating and/or stating i am reporting said content.

 

since the rules in the spam forum say they arent.

you can attack staff members. Sythe put the "zero shit talking policy towards staff members" offline.

they just haven't updated it yet.

 

that was copy and pasted from the rules of spam forum. meaning any mod at any point has the ability to discipline an individual who has "attacked" any staff member in that forum. if mods are allowed to attack, they should be allowed to be attacked as well. i have no examples of any mods abusing this authority, however it is irrational to leave a broken rule in place when its obvious the rule can potentially be abused and is brought to the attention of the community that such could be done.

 

He's right. Sythe removed the rule and mods are fair game now. It just hasn't been removed on the rules portion

if thats the case, my suggestion is to remove it from the rules portion. as far as i can see, "zero shit talking policy offline", doesnt say anything specifically as to the mods immunity. but then again, it doesnt say what the zero shit talking policy was.

 

the whole point of spam is to shit talk and shit post

No.. but really since the zero policy (which was if you was a rude person against staff/admin you would be banned).. was taken offline ..we have been able to meme about staff.

Not true, there's been more than a few notable members lost to the no shit taking policy rule.

It's offline now but bringing any other rules into play just seems like a gamble.
