I know what your trying to say but I would seriously doubt if Fagex had a system that could detect macroing in that way...

 

well i mean it's been advised not to bot in weird intervals because they could detect odd changes in playing time, like you normally play 3 hours a day, now you're playing 18 hours a day, they think somethings up and monitor you. i think they just made that more obvious and extreme, and set people up for detection. i have no idea though, i don't know their detection systems, i don't know if what i propose is even plausible or worth doing.

 

you have to remember though, there are a LOT of botters, and they're times would change dramatically, probably a lot. They don't have like 10,000 workers sitting around tracking every single person whos playtime varies, their system just bans you from playing habits or clicking styles that aren't humanish. There a thread somewhere else here where they explain in detail their system, or i might be on rsbotting.

Also, There may still be pmod cruising around soulwars banning botters, while i highly agree this is probably true, there are ALWAYS pmods there, its no difference between now and a few weeks ago, the jmods have left, and most people this the botters have cleared off.

Honestly i dont really care, i got about a day left then im clearing off anyway 99 str ftw

 

If they're basing these on activity then its a simple fix (don't bot 24/h in a row).
But I seriously doubt this is the reason. I think they're just on the lookout for repetitive movement/getting stuck/not talking back. Perhaps the mods are finally doing their jobs and reporting people.

Think about it from a botters perspective:
If someone told you to go find 100 botters in the next hour you could probably find 1000 and confirm they're botting. The only thing that was keeping ban rates low before was the lack of caring/people not doing their jobs/not enough super legits.

 

If they fix the bots, then I want my money back

 

theres nothing jagex can really do, that can't be rescripted to work around it within a week of an update....so there really would be no need to get your money back, and nothing has happened yet so...

 

Do you guys think this will apply to all bots? Like are the perm bans only for sw bots?

Or is it still temp bans for everything?

I hope they dont hit rcers next...

Here is the method Jagex might use to detect bots in Soul Wars

A new script that only runs in Soul Wars (for now) that will detect and record player participation in Soul Wars. If a player participates in soul wars for a certain amount of time (Most likely 8-10 hours), or it could be set for a higher amount. The players account will be flagged in a database to be under investigation.


He talked to a Jmod about this. I wish I had screenshots.. but if I posted them he would loose pmod status.


Obviously if your account is flagged and reported as in Soul Wars for 20+ hours straight with no down time, you will be perm banned (possibly temp)


ALSO.. You guys are saying Jmod's are gone in Soul Wars? No. There was 5-6 Jmods in Soul Wars today.

I've been botting since about 24 hours ago...maybe im really lucky then

 

I was botting 3 accounts 24/7 at the time and only 2 got banned. The funny thing is my 5 day and 3 day straight 24/7 accounts got banned while my account that I botted 15 days straight didn't. Before I left for work I noticed that my 2 accounts were disabled however I decided to keep botting my other account anyway. 4 hours later and it was still fine However i'm done botting soulwars for now..

Thats an interesting screen shot.. is the script your using picking up player names from the java script and putting them over head? thats how you saw the jmod?

 

Based upon what everyone's been saying, I'm assuming it's okay to baby sit my bot? I feel like earning zeal, but I don't want to click people.

 

well, if its true that they aren't talking, i assume not, seeing as they will just ban you by teh actions you are doing, but im continueing anyway

 

I'm currently botting at Soul Wars and haven't really encountered any trouble. Kinda scared to let the bot run overnight but thats the only way I'll be able to get some zeal.

 

They are banning on time.

JMods are pulling surveying players in Soul Wars, coming back 10 hours later and surveying more names.

They find duplicates, they check your play time. They see 20 hours straight? well. Instant Perm ban.

Noone plays SoulWars 20 hours legit.

 

I'm sure it's different than that. They'd have to be doing more frequent checks. What if someone went off to bed for about 8 hours after they checked, they played soul wars in the morning, got checked, then went out for most of the day, came back, and got checked again? The system can't be that simple. Thanks for clarifying though, I get what you meant.
