I used to think about this and be sad but then I just realized it's just part of life and I have to accept it. That's what their society is like... that's how they live.

I don't care if you have sympathy or not.
But people in here are bothered by it because they don't want to feel about their good lives. I'm not trying to do that. I think there's been some confusion.
 
The US should help no1 we should just mind our own damn business
 
I'm going to sum up what some people have already said and add in a few more points.

1. They brought this upon themselves
2. Their government is corrupt and greedy, if we send them money/food, the government keeps 99% of it.
3. It's their government that can stop the poverty, but they don't want to.
4. It's not our place to help them, why should we if they won't help themselves?
5. They already owe us a shitload of money
6. If we help them get out of poverty, they'll probably be greedy for more and start a war against us since they have so many people.
7. All countries need to look after themselves.
8. We aren't in any financial situation to be giving them money.
9. No one gives a shit about some skinny kid, we all die eventually.
10. Poverty will NEVER end.

The U.S. has the biggest government dept in the world!
So no, those lands do not owe the US money.

one point I want to make myself:
there is alot of help, but the help doesnt work,
you see, because 'we' are helping them, they are not doing anything themselves.
you can see that on the news, are they ever busy with something? work?
never! they are not working.
there should be a system which gets those people to work, and for the work they do they should get a good reward (thats another problem, companies are buying stuff from 3rd world lands for TOO LOW prices)

oh btw, some more points are just bs (tyson) like number one, its the government who did it, not the people.
also poverty may not ever end, you can make it less worse.
and point 9... well thats just rude, only a dumbass thinks that way...

My opinion on this is that it should be their job to fix their problems. Why? Well believe it or not the US actually has and does try to help these suffering countries, but until the society itself realizes that it has to change, it won't. We don't live in Africa and we shouldn't have to be their nanny. Africa is enormous, bigger than we are, and it's impossible for us to "save them". It's only possible for their corrupt leaders to one day realize their wrongs and try to sort it out themselves (it's possible, but...not probable..). Anyway, that's MY outlook.

I agree with you, if the African people became a little more responsible and stopped having children they know they can't take care of, we wouldn't have this problem

In the comment about US owing Lots of cash, It still doesn't mean that they don't owe the US.. or all different governments in that fact.. they probably lent from the World Bank.

Agreed, it's not the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. People post pictures of these poor skeleton kids and then expect others to throw their wallets at Africa, well, not going to happen...
 
If we give them food this gives them more sex energy, which they don't need.

They should send thousands of condoms instead.

or you are just racist :) european countries have just as much extra food and do even less than america does for this stuff.

also, seeing as these people aren't even trying to change or better themselves, we would just be giving them food, clothes, and other shit and when it runs out they will beg for more and keep expecting hand outs. if each of their parents really wanted to do something to improve their children's lives i'm sure they could but the majority of them just decide to ask for hand outs instead.

Dude, you have to look at people as a species of animal. The Africans literally have done it to themselves. They live in crowded spaces with the constant fear of getting raped (the women at least), and the majority of the men in some countries don't really do anything. The jobs they have don't usually contribute to society.

They majority isn't educated enough to realize that overpopulation is causing this crisis. They blame it on others but they sit around and don't do anything about it.

Africa has the means of helping itself, but it is up to the people in it. They are not pat the point where outside help is a necessity. Once that point is crossed then drastic measures will need to occur but until now, I say let them fix their own problem.
