Someone good with webhosting, please.

So i want to start my own website (forum-based). I just spent $180 on a vB license and i'm looking to start either a WoW forum, or Blackmarket. Now what i need is not everyone to tell me "you'll never make it." What i need is someone to tell me HOW i can do this because...

-I'm in the US, so technically all warez/blackmarketing is illegal. I'll be shutdown by my hosting.

-I'm not sure if i get hosting, or a VPS. I'm not sure how it all works.

-I'd like to know if i was to start a WoW or RS private server and i got hosting, would i get a VPS? How would i do that?

Just basically explain what everything is and how it works. Thanks.

 

Why are you using VPS and "hosting" interchangeabley?

Just find a cheap hosting website and email them your questions. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help out if you mention you'll buy something. (and you'll probably get your answer a lot sooner than you will on this froum).

Ok as long as you don't get free hosting you won't be shutdown unless you have warez then you want to get offshore but you're not even safe then you see some people arn't very smart and it's hard to find a true offshore host as most offshore host's datacenters don't allow warez and if you read the host's TOS it will say that what content you have on your site is your problem and we don't give a shit blah blah blah. Now onto the private server you'll need a coder seeing as you don't even know how to set one up you can find coders at www.rune-server.org or www.runelocus.com you won't find many here. Goodluck!
