Greetings,

I would like to know how can I change my display name on Sythe, also how can I earn those mini-ranks.

Does the rank "Runescape Mod" here mean that the party is a Player Moderator in RS? And if it does mean that, isn't it dangerous that the guy is affiliated with a site such as Sythe? Couldn't it result in a demotion and possibly a ban?

What does the rank "Games Moderator" refer to?

Please bear in mind your desired name must be available/not taken.

Removal of numbers in a name where the alternative is available (Example: Name1224 to Name)

Replacement of a number in a name (Example: N4m3 to Name)

Removal of characters such as underscores or hyphens where the alternative is available (Example: User_Name to User Name or UserName)

Capitalisaton or de-capitalisation of name (Example: name to Name or Name to name)

Removal of special characters in rare cases where the user profile glitches

Removal of random letters that do not add to the username

Minor corrections of spelling

Major name change

How to apply for a username change:

You fill out a Name Change Request Form below.

An Administrator reviews your request and if it fulfils requirements:

If you fall under honourable name change request number 1, 2, 3 or 4 above, your request will usually be honoured.

If you fall under honourable name change request number 5, 6, 7, or 8 your request will be reviewed by staff and need a majority approval. This will take a week.

If your name is changed, your UserTitle will be edited to reflect your previous name for 6 months unless only capitalisation or de-capitalisation occurs - you will not be able to change it yourself in this time.

If your name is not changed, you will be notified as to why and given another opportunity to apply depending on the reasoning.

Your name change will forever be listed in the http://www.sythe.org/community-general/1882267-list-username-changes.html thread unless only capitalisation or de-capitalisation occurs.

You can contact an Administrator in 6 months to request your UserTitle be removed and UserTitle request perk be enabled for you again if applicable.

A note on banned names:

Well, unfortunately as per Richard's ruling, if an account is banned for blackhat, scamming, vading (a scamming ban), or anything like that - we can't use the name cause it's needed for future proof. If it was a spambot or some ban that isn't related to scamming or the other things mentioned above, then the name is up for grabs.

If your name change is affected by this you are welcome to apply for another change of sorts. Maybe in the future this can be overturned but as of now this is the case.

RuneScape Moderator means this user is a moderator over the RuneScape section on Sythe.
Games Moderator means this user is a moderator over the other games sections.

Well there are moderators on here and on RuneScape, there will always be a difference. Sythe isn't part of RuneScape, so that's why they are calling it RuneScape moderator.

A minor namechange would be like "FeakesRyan" for you, or "RyanFeake" etc.
A major namechange would be changing your name to "Carrot".
Minor namechanges are basically switching around letters or removing a letter or two.

You can get an user image once you became a $200 donator on Sythe.
