Some one that knows wireless

Ok so I have a xbox360 and I want to connect to my wireless. Now I see the xbox wireless thing but it cost $100. I get a 10% at ebgames so I would rather shop ther but I went on bestbuy and saw some cheaper ones. Can some one just tell the me what ones work and what ones do not work, I know number 1 works .

If I was you I would just shove a ethernet cable in the back of your xbox and into your router. Wireless is fun but if you are playing top end online games the connection may drop if you dont spend the extra cash to buy a reliable adapter. Cables are cheaper and faster. Other than that #4 Will work and #3 may or may not work. I don't think #2 will work.

The problem is my room is upstairs and my wireless router is downstairs. There is no way for the cable to make it up there. I guess I could make a bridge from my wileless laptop to my 360.

i know what you can do. if you have a wireless computer / laptop in your room, connect your 360 to it with a ethernet cable .
go to you wirless connection right click and selet properties make sure the box that says alow other connections to get interent from me or whatever is checked

If you want wireless, and it seems like an only option for you...Get an expensive adapter. There are ones that are reliable from Linksys for like $60.

All of them work as long as it's USB capable.

So, I would either use #4 or #1

OR bridge with your laptop (IF you have one)

What I didon't wast money. I just brought it downstairs to my router, got a 10ft cable and just played on my livingroom TV. I do this like twice a week, and my parents don't care.

Only the official wireless network adapter works for the 360 I heard. because they made it so you can't just plug anything in otherwise it would be easy to hack.

The also want to make the extra $100 of there crap. I will try my laptop since I have a wileless laptop with wileless down stairs.
