Did you spray-paint the Michigan helmet? How did you get the "slashes" looking so good?

Did you spray-paint the Michigan helmet? How did you get the "slashes" looking so good?

I used a spray gun (car paint) then used an airbrush to freehand the rest with hand held stencils. Basically I cut out a slash mark in silicone, hold it on the helmet, spray around it, that give me the basic shape, the I just freehand the rest
