OT: I think placement of these images is the only problem.

 

I agree with you BGlave. I say keep images like these out of areas where they aren't needed/warranted. I don't have a problem with the images on a personal level, but I prefer not to see them on something official like a Scam/Evader report.

I have brought this up with a few of the staff and something will be written up shortly.

 

Ok so no unnecessary photos in RAS
First Offense: Warning
Second Offense: 3 day ban
Third Offense: 1 week ban

what about the rest of the site?
should girls in bikinis be allowed?
what is taking it too far?
what kind of punishment?

 

As long as person is not complely naked / her/his private parts are covered by clothes I dont think it's really nudity/porn. It should be abit cleared up. Personally I have nothing against bikini suits but yeah some people can be unhappy with it.

 

The main argument here isn't just if the images should or shouldn't be allowed to be posted anywhere asides from SF/USF. The other thing that needs to be addressed is the lengthiness of a ban over "soft porn" images as at least I call them.

I honestly see no wrong in those type of images as I said in my previous post. Perhaps simply if images of this sort are posted on more 'official' things as Ziggily said, it should warrant a warning/infraction and repeated offenses leading to a 3 day/week ban.

Now as for the what should be allowed and what not;
I think it's pretty clear where a limit would be. Things that are showing perhaps -too- much skin or are just too suggestive probably shouldn't just be randomly posted anywhere.

Lets see a few examples.

A picture like that to my eyes is nothing but modeling. If you have a freaking sick mind and start getting aroused over it, well that's on you.



This one may not really classify as 'modeling' itself since, well it's a selfie. However, I still don't really consider this to be 'over the limit' or anything of that sort; I mean it's not even really sexually suggestive, it's just a pretty girl taking a picture of herself.


Some of you may remember this one from one of TPM's reports. Like really, what's so bad about it? It's just a picture of a pretty girl. Okay, yes, I understand they were pretty out of context where he posted them. But that isn't what we're talking about right now, it's about what's really 'safe' to post throughout other places in the forums.

These are the type of images that TPM used to post, and I see no harm in them. As I stated before, honestly I don't even know why some of you have to give explanations to people as to what you're seeing, but for those that do, it's as easy as the truth. Just browsing a forum, random guy posted that picture. Simple.

Now as far as 'pushing the limits';

Okay so here we start looking at what I mentioned before, pictures showing perhaps 'a bit too much skin'. They still really aren't porn, nor are they really showing full nude breasts/vaginas.



Still really not showing any full on nudity, but they are more suggestive. These I would completely understand if you called them 'NSFW'.

So we've got three examples as to what -I- at least consider is really NSFW and what is. The latter, even though again, not really 'porn', are truly (in my eyes) more NSFW. Those are likely to be kept only within the SF, full nudity ones in the USF.

But the previous ones, don't really seem bad to me at all. I agree, regardless of not being NSFW they probably shouldn't be posted around on more 'official' matters as the RaS section. But do they really affect you that much throughout the rest of the forums? Would a 'The best looking girls' thread be something bannable then simply because images of pretty girls in swimwear/lingerie/whatever to be posted in them?

Basically, people don't get banned for this sort of thing often and if you post random images (spam) on threads that do not open the door to such images, you will be punished. Rule of thumb: if you're not in the upper spam forum, don't post anything that could be considered nsfw by anyone.
