basketball, every person has a chance to score and have equal chance of defending/rebounded therfore having more fun.

If you live in America and play soccer you will be considered gay. basketball is more fun anyway and will make you more athletic.

I think it's pathetic how people use gay as an insult. If you have a problem with gays, at least have the decency to have a reason behind your negativity towards homosexuals.

On topic: I would recommend soccer. It's very fun, and can get into it fairly quickly. It will take patience though, so I recommend just practising with your local team for now, then move on to bigger and better things.

Play soccer. You can 'jump' into soccer easier than you would with basketball. You should check if you have any indoor soccer locations to play at. That's pretty fun to do and isn't overly competitive.

Id have to say soccer. Soccer is more fun, and i have more fun using my footskills in soccer than i do trying to juke people in basketball haha. That may just be casue mmy footskills are better than moves in basketball.

At 14 years old and 120 pounds (American), you'd be a good age for basketball. It's not tall but it's not short. It's so-so. If you think you could grow another few inches to 6'0 or so, go for basketball.

Basically, if you divide a soccer field into four equal sections from one goal to the other, you will first run from the goal line to one quarter of the way up the field, then back to the goal line. Then you go to halfway and back, then to three quarters and so on.

    Soccer.

Juggle the ball, make sure to put backspin on it as you juggle. You can do this by hitting the far side of the ball with your toes curled up. Lean forward while you're learning.

    Soccer. All the way.

    Edit: Ugh.

Who the hell thinks someones gay for playing soccer? Fredecus sounds dumb.

Also, yeah. Soccer is dangerous. Mostly in pros, though. As well, so is basketball..

    Soccer or Basketball?

Basketball is great, dont get me wrong. But soccer is a great sport, and doesn't take so much time to get used to the basic skills. I've played soccer since 3 yrs old, practiced atleast 2-3 times a week. I now play Municipal Rep (for my city). I'm really trying my best to get into provincials, and then international, hopefully. I couldn't imagine me being on the international team.

    I've played basketball and soccer.
i played basketball for 8 years and soccer for 9 years.
IN my opinion both of them are good in each way.

When you're through the finals = BB is best
When you play a normal match = soccer is best

But now i do MMA , i've trained for 3 years and in my opinion nothing beats MMA

NAA Unless your pro, there is no need to do whole pitch suicides ROFL

Oi don't let the guy sly you off, soccer is simple you just need ball controll and relatively good fitness, you joining a club for fun no't trying to get scouted so just practise doing kick ups and going through cones untill you got ball control then your sorted...

    Soccer or Basketball?

I have played sports my whole life and I stuck with basketball, been playing it for around 12 years now. Basketball is great fun, but unless you play in a league that is an intermural or just co-ed fun, it will be tough to get into games at local gyms. Soccer thought can be played in many leagues and if you can run and have foot-eye coordination, which everyone should have, soccer is definitely the sport for a nonsports person to begin with.
