Problem with Redeeming Moneypaks.

So recently, when I try to redeem moneypaks for people, I get a big fat error saying "Due to prior negative activity with Paypal or Green Dot you will no longer be able to fund this Paypal account using a Moneypak. We will send you a refund for this Moneypak. The following information is required to send your refund."

I'm not sure why I keep getting these messages. And it's effecting my business because when I try to enter the code, it pretty much makes the Moneypak itself not work for anyone else who tries to redeem it.

 

Make a new a new Paypal account or when you call ask for a supervisor or else you'll keep getting the same responses every time.

 

I can't really make a new paypal account since this one is already hooked up to my Bank account. But I guess I'll try to supervisor thing next time.

 

You probably want to contact the fellows at green dot moneypak. It probably doesn't have anything to do with your paypal account, and making a new paypal won't help since moneypak requires your SSN.

Sounds like they simply don't want people who have had negative balances using them...

 

As Xier0 said, you need your SSN attached to your PayPal account.

Honestly, it is the dumbest thing ever. I am pretty sure I got scammed by MoneyPak (obviously not) for 30$ because it said they would give me a refund and I never received one, and I think I lost the card so I didn't have the correct information. Verified PayPal should be enough, no idea why they need your SSN.

 

I've never been chargebacked nor have I ever had a negative balance ever. I asked him if they had any record of my having a negative balance and they said no. I don't know why I keep receiving this message.

 

They could suspect you of doing things against the moneypak terms of service and banned you from redeeming them.

 

Yeah Ziggily already spoke to me about it. Apparently it's a security measure to stop possible Money Laundering

 

I've gotten that, and since then I've never tested it/tried to redeem one again.
What you can do is find a 'redeemer' who can redeem it for you and send it to you via PP for a 5% fee.

Add me on Skype, and I can easily drag you over contact details for the ones I use (most/all are Sythe staff/ex-staff).

 

The issue here is that OP is a redeemer, and Moneypak put the brakes on his business.

 

I'm not sure if I'll still have this problem. Has anyone ever had this problem? If so, what can i do?

 

This happened when I tried to redeem a moneypak before I was 18. Since I wasn't 18 the SSN didn't return any information and was declined. Ever since, I haven't been able to upload moneypaks, I've had to ask for the refund check that takes around 2 weeks to come in the mail. Although its slower, if you have decent capital, you get an extra 5$ for asking for a check refund, so it might be worth it for some people that don't need money instantly.

Can you just redeem the moneypaks for checks? This would allow you to bypass the 4k limit if you have enough funds. I got that error too when I tried to redeem a moneypak from that Honest Iago guy on sythe.

 

The problem with this is I am able to redeem over 4k Moneypaks in less than a week, and I only have a 2k capital to work with

Creating another paypal will not work. I have a business paypal and a personal, the personal was flagged after the business.

Also, once you do a certain volume of "redeeming" paypal is gonna send you a tax form in the mail, and you'll have to file...then have fun explaining to the IRS what your business is..it's money laundering 100%

ALSO -

when you request a check, the original moneypak holder CAN CANCEL THE CHECK! Happened to me when I first started. Be careful lol

No need to make any new Paypal accounts, I've personally ran into this problem a couple times, you ask to speak to a supervisor and give them all information that they request; they have authority to bypass the average "script" and standard responses that an actual response team/phone agent must follow. An average phone agent is almost useless unless it comes to giving information or helping you understand certain things, good little protip; always speak with a manager with any issue! They're 98% of the time the only ones who may actually be capable of helping you!

 

He doesnt have to explain anything... Also, its not money laundering... He is not committing any crime (that we know). He has to commit a crime to get the money then transfer it into an asset thats profitable.. That is laundering.
