I too have a small speech impediment. It's nothing major, but annoying when I try to talk. I'm lazy, and it requires too much work to pronounce it correctly everytime.

Haha, what makes you think I would want to become a rockstar? I smoke weed, for medicinal and recreational purposes. It does help my anxiety, but I love it. xD Plus the only damage marijuana does is cause short-term memory, other then that, it's a good herb.

I can easily presume that your speech impediment is caused by anxiety, which you just mentioned you have. That, combined with the fact that you care what people think, lets me know that you have no physical problems with your speech. Your problem is a neurological (which is what stuttering boils down to) insecurity.

You don't need to learn to speak properly, you simply need to practice speaking in front of people, and over coming your fear of what people are saying.

Marijuana slows your perception, yet seems to heighten your senses. If it helps with your anxiety, I'm sure it will help with your speech problem. And so what if it's short term? Enough smoke and your voice will become hoarse. And yes, it does affect the speech center, that's why you talk, and respond slower when you're high.

Enough time, and work, and it will correct itself.

Umm no, my problem is real. It developed when I was 4, I didn't smoke pot when I was 4. I've been smoking weed for 3 years now, and it's actually helping me quite a bit, made me a hell of a lot more social, but people notice it and just think I'm weird, that's what I don't like. Plus pot only makes you paranoid when you see cops or something, other then that I'm always relaxed, having a good time. I'm a whole different person when I'm completely opened up to someone, and weed helps me do that. I have friends that like me like any other normal person would, just because I have a problem talking, doesn't mean I'm stupid.
