So I got PS today...

After an hour of playing around with different functions, I managed to poop out this:

It's not quite Kinaesthic quality....yet.

I know I'm not good at graphics, but I just got PS and I want to make it a hobby when I'm bored.
Questions about Photoshop, please help:

1) How can I make the text under "MrLucky" less pixelated? Looks a bit minecrafty.

2) When I was finding textures for the text "MrLucky" I only had two, is this because I have texture packs or something on my own?

3) How come in my signature below (made by Kina) it has so much going on behind the text? How can I do this on mine?

Any other suggestions/advice/tips on how to make signatures like this would be greatly appreciated.
