So I finally got that raise.

Somewhere, maybe a month ago, I posted about getting a raise.

I finally got it, but didn't notice it.



Me and co-worker were prepping for Easter Buffet, and she asked if I got one. I said no. She said "You should have"
So I checked my paystub and what do you know, I got one!

16 cent raise.



I'm a Cook, and I get paid a shitty 9.41 an hour.
We have a dishwasher who gets paid 9.11 an hour.

Because a dishwasher has so much responsibility!!
They clean the dishes, and they still suck ass at that. Everyday there is food on 'clean' plates and other equipment.

 

... lol.

 

I think you deserve more. Anyone can clean dishes.

 

Just wait a bit longer till you can move away to a better job.

 

Too bad your taxes take away a good chunk that you didn't notice the raise :S


Also how long did it take you to get that raise?

 

Do you still need to deal with those other special people?

Yea tiger.
We hired a new one.
And fired her 3 days later.

She was a dishwasher, and she came in 40minutes late.
She then asked if she can play her radio while doing dishes.
I said sure no problem.
She started to look for an outlet, to plug in her radio.
She couldn't find one.
You know what she decided to do?
She disappeared for a good 30minutes

She called her friend, and had her friend take her to the store to buy some batteries for her radio.
She came back and acted like it was nothing.

So she got fired.

We only have 1 more disabled person working for us now, and he's been there for like 15 years.



And yea, damn taxes, whatever though.
