Ultimately, imo, it's better to be proactive than reactive. That's my issue with finding and then patching these kinds of detection methods. Regardless of whether or not this particular method exists (which my hunch is that it does), it's bad practice to refuse the possibility.
Just to give a few quotes:
“For a scientist, this is a good way to live and die, maybe the ideal way for any of us - excitedly finding we were wrong and excitedly waiting for tomorrow to come so we can start over.”
― Norman Maclean
“Anyone can possess, anyone can profess, but it is an altogether different thing to confess.”
― Shannon L. Alder
“There is a way of being wrong which is also sometimes necessarily right.”
― Edward Abbey
“without being sure of something, we can not begin to think about everything else”
― Kathryn Schulz
“To make mistakes or be wrong is human. To admit those mistakes shows you have the ability to learn, and are growing wiser.”
― Donald L. Hicks, Look into the stillness
Oh, and TBotting, please utilize the multi-quote feature instead of multi-posting. This is to all our benefit.
