Pumice stoning ones feet

Does anyone use pumice stones to groom their feet? I play tennis, squash, and racquetball often and my feet suffer accordingly; I have ~2mm of callous in some places and it gets annoying sometimes. I occasionally blister as well and generally have healed blisters with a bit of dead skin around them on my feet. So I guess my question is is it safe to pumice stone them? If so, do I just get them wet and rub gently with the stone like everywhere else on the internet says to do? Fwiw, I have no open sores or liquid-filled blisters but patches of skin which are a bit more sensitive (pinker) than others.
