Smoking ban - Is it right?

this is a double edged sword. as written in the constitution of the united states, the government can not tell us what to do with our bodys, we have our right to live and die on our own terms. but the other side is that it gets into the air and effects others. now, i myself am a smoker, but i'm respectfull about it. i belive that it is the responsibility of the establishment to choose wether to be smoke free or not.

I think I see where Boom is coming from, however I don't see the two different type of pubs to be practical.

Also, I have a question. If one or both of your parents were heavy smokers, then they had you, is it possible for you to be more likely to smoke, via genes?

If that is so, then what about the people a long time ago who didn't know smoking was bad? They became heavy smokers, had kids, their kids became heavy smokers, and so on. This would be unfair to them because it's not really their fault...besides being born

Also, I think I saw somewhere, that drinking 2 glasses of milk a day is more harmful than second-hand-smoke...I dont know where the hell I saw that, sounds like bullshit, but just throwing my thoughts out there =\

hmm im not sure it makes you more likely to be a smoker but it may make you more likely to become easily addicted to things, then again on the other hand some people think that addiction is actually a state of mind as opposed to being a physical state nawwdaimean?

I would do it because smoking is like the #1 leading cause of cancer which is like one of the top five leading causes of deaths. What i dont understand is why people smoke in the first place. It is a nasty habit and it cost more money than it is worth. I would do this even though it will cause even more political battle than we have now but in the end it is a good idea in my opinion.

just because people have been smoking for a long time doesn't mean they can't quit.

And if the constitution stops the government from interveining when you want to do what you want to your bodies, why have they banned illegal drugs? Ciggarettes and Cigars should be illegal drugs, because you get a 5 second nicoteine buzz, then its gone, then you smoke again, and again, and you fill your lungs with tar, you get cancer, and eventually you die. Not even Marijuana is that bad.

And not only the smokers are in danger. Asthmatics in particular are in danger of dying around smokers. Its just too fucking dangerous to keep legal.

Edit: two glasses of milk is good for you lol. I drink a lot more than that ^_^ I've never broken a bone in the 13 years I've been living.

well i agree it kind of does violate human rights, but it isnt healthy in my opinion,but they shouldnt ban it just make appointed areas for it out of the way of other people

us is starting to, yes i agree because 2nd hand smoke is somewhat harmful (not very much), and smoking doesn't have any benifits so i think it should banned
