Sliding Help Bar

How do I get the sliding help bar with links on the left hand side of my window to stop popping up? It pops up after every page I go to and it's driving me crazy!! Too high for this shit..

It does not appear when I'm on my PC using IE, but when I'm on my Macbook using Firefox it keeps appearing.
