Skype Blacklist

I was just saved from getting scammed but a smart and wonderous MM. It turned out he was a previous scammer/ban evader. However, when I asked how to find this out, the answer was just to google the skype.

My thoughts is that there should be a sticky someplace with all the skype contacts of known scammers/banned members, so that others can refer to this list when they want to start a trade.

What do yall think of this?

For example, this trade I just managed to avoid, I found posts up to 3 years ago of this member trying to sell this exact same account (found elophant link from 3 years ago on banned account). I would imagine he has "sold" this account multiple times over the past few years to unfortunate souls.

 

Keeping track of the Skype's of scammers would seem pointless because they can always make a new one, and 99% of the vaders/scammers on Sythe use a skype similar to "TheirSytheUsernameHere.Sythe" so as soon as they make another account they'll just make another Skype.

Since it's a lot harder to change paypal then it is to change Skype.

 

It honestly wouldn't matter, as Chloecat said it's very easy to make a new skype, people could scam, make a new skype in under 5 minutes and repeat. Plus new users typically don't even read the stickies, let alone blacklists.

but as chloecat said, its easy to change skype so we cant list all the scammers skype :/ if u google it, u can have a scam report with that skype. Same thing

* if u want one, u can do it yourself you know go in report a scammer and do a list of all the skypes that scammed. U post it in market discussion and it will be stickied if the list is well done.

 

I get what yall are saying. I still feel like a blacklist would deter certain scammers, and also is something that n00bs can be pointed to. For example, the guy who I just had a run in with wasn't smart enough to change his skype over 3 years, and it seemed to be a personal skype as well.

I may just do that this weekend, I've got more college work to do than I would like, so I need a good excuse to procrastinate xD

Also why is he banned again? Dude did (and still does to an extent) more than half the staff.
