bitcranks w is now useless

Yes I know, people have seen this problem. But its true, and I'm really hoping Riot can do something with this problem. Sure blitz had a 55% win rate, but he didn't deserve this change. I don't even put a point in w anymore until I'm forced to because of how useless it is. It's terrible for roaming, and he just doesn't feel the same. He feels extremely clunky because the speed barely lasts any time. And the slow is brutal, the slow is just brutal. My favorite troll support got gutted.

im facepalming at all the people in the reddit item saying it sucks.
it literally got buffed. if people suck as blitz and didnt know how to land hooks all together sure its a nerf, but it was literally implemented to land hooks.
before it gave u 16% movespeed, now it gives 70% how stupid can people get.
the duration was 8 before, now its 5 decaying which in the end u get a minimal slowdown, which dosnt matter if u landed the hook, cuz ud punch them into the air and then ult them.

basically, its better for the champion background "overdrive" u overwhelm ur champion with big mobility, and then have to be punished for overdriving.
+ it makes u land hooks easier.

just dont get this at all.

 

The only downside is that you can't have your W perma procced anymore and be running around at like 500ms with mobis constantly anymore, even if you missed your hook.

I'm pretty sure the slow down is to just solve this issue, it was beyond annoying to deal with this type of shit.

 

Blitz is 1 of my favorite supports, the only thing that bothers me is that slow at the end of it...Harder to chase when I get thirsty

Blitz used to have 3 engage options.

a)Hit the grab
i)Straight up try for the grab
ii)chase them until their movements become more predictable/close distance on them to make an easier grab, and then try for the grab

b)Run up and punch

This update to him made it so only hitting the grab is more reliable in the first scenerio , and made the other 2 scenerios much more unlikely.

Overall made his play much more binary. He still has his place in the game though, people are overreacting.

 

I only see a blitzcrank once in every 15 games I play, whats everyone complaining at? Don't play him if you're that upset. Champs get buffed/nerfed all the time :

yeah it sucks, game companys always do it i see it so much accros online games look at runescape there are like 3 diffrent versions of the game now and thats from jagex rsc, rs07 and rs3

 

Actually untrue, well formulated opinion but actually wrong. You would still be able to catch up to people for the hook, or get to the oponent and punch them in the air with the new W.
Before u got 16% now u get 70% a considerably higher percentage, which means u can catch up to them faster. What you are expecting, is an infinite map with no constructions. Let me show you how valueing movespeed like that is wrong. You cant chase someone forever, they will eventually
(i) reach their teammates
(ii) reach their constructions (base, towers) = safety.

With the new W, you can both catch up to them (in laning phase) and punch or hook them.
In lategame teamfights, you never went up to them to punch them really, you started off fights all the time as blitz with a hook. and late game it is all about clutch hooks if you would just run at them late game you would die, you pretty much engage with your Q, if not people would surely call out for someone being low elo. Saying that low movement speed at a 2 second longer non decaying is better than extremely high movement speed at decaying is so wrong, couse you can only run at people for so long until they are safe. You have merely not counted in the variable of towers, and that u dont want to run at the oponents for an infinite distance.
the change only really hurts his roaming, in which i would say good high elo blitzcranks would always time their old Ws in such way that they would have it during the gank, and not have it running during the rotation.
The new W makes it clear that u should use it with during the gank.

 

The new W is useless. I'd much rather remove his passive from ult than nerf his W. On Season 5 you have even more trouble roaming because now you also have the crab in the river stopping your mobbies.
