    Skateboard suggestions?

I'm looking for an beginner/intermediate skateboard that's a good value. I'm looking to spend around $70. I don't know much about skateboard brands, so I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Consider blankdecks.com their decks feature no graphics and as such cost quite a bit less. If youre artistic you can paint them but I tend to leave em blank. I find they last every bit as long as big name brands but have only had good luck with this particular vendor, I bought some ebay blanks that turned out to be garbage.

I'd avoid their completes however as they charge a bit more for assembly and In the long run buying the deck and grip and the rest on ebay or amazon will cost less but will require you to grip and assemble your own board (lots of vids on YT for this, easy to do.). The biggest concern when buying separately is getting the width of your trucks and deck right, having overly wide or overly narrow trucks for your deck with can be problematic but is easily enough avoided by checking the product specs carefully.

Check out https://shop.ccs.com as well they have great deals on completes and put a lot of good stuff on clearance.

I've seen you say a lot of ludicrous shit about the subject of skateboarding. How about fucking right off?

That's a good idea I was thinking about getting a blank one but wasn't sure which one would be good. I'm going to get one for my old board. I saw ones with good reviews on amazon.

I'd be cautious of any chinese blanks, they were the source of my ebay woes. The typical options are based on concave and board width, concave is all preference but steeper tends to lend itself better to flip tricks and flatter/mellow concave tends to be more comfortable. I personally like wider boards, im skating an 8.25" and wear a size 10.5 shoe if that gives you any indication of scale. Wider boards are easier to land on but take a bit more umph to flip, if you decide on a wider board be aware you may need to get wider trucks to fit it properly, the mounting screws will align but narrow trucks on a wide board feels very weird and can limit certain freestyle tricks.

I just recently started skating again after a 7 year break, it's been a lot of fun and surprisingly didnt take much at all for me to get right back into the swing of things trick-wise. Glad to see some more interest growing in the sport. If you ever have any questions feel free to message me dude.
