i recently read some sort of guide about camping with the hour glass method, well there are alot of different and faster ways.

Max price button

well, this is the fastest way to catch an update, open up your offer like this:



just keep clicking the max price button, and when the ge updates the price changes immediatly. then try to confirm your offer asap.
this is the way used to snipe partyhats, although it is impossible to snipe a partyhat without botting nowadays.

every real merchanter bots.

used for camping partyhats ( when combined with a bot) or things such as disks/pumps.

2 accounts method.

i used this ages ago, you open up 2 accounts. Your main, with the offer open and a noob account with crashing items on the other screen. Put your crashings in the price checker and add cash till you reach your trade limit. That number should be red now. When the ge updates the numbers will change to white because the price is now under your trade limit. As soon as you notice this click max and confirm.

used for camping small rares, such as dragon staves

IRC

very simple, join a merch channel, like #smokin_mils, they usually have bots around notifying you pretty fast after the update. when using SK go to options-irc-highlights and add "The grand exchange has been updated " to your highlights, when the bots notify you of an update you'll hear a beep.

used for camping clan items.

Website Watcher

easy tool, used it when phats were still easy to snipe. download @ http://aignes.com/ , this tool scans webpages for changes.
let it check the runescape database @ the homepage and change the speed to check once per second. You should make it check a few of these pages , like potions/necklace/ring, so that you make sure that it notifies the update.
(you can add sound, so thats convenient aswell)

well, didnt use these myself, but appearantly they're kinda fast nowadays.

i used the 2 account method myself, used to camp easters with it back when they were like 34m eaech

 

Thanks for telling everyone the max price method! It was pretty much the best method out there, now everyone will be sniping.

but the rest of the methods seem very interesting and unique.

i've got a question with the max price method, if the ge updates, and im constantly clicking max price , then confirming... will the max price update? or i need to reload the ge screen for its price to change?
