To begin with theses are not site problems, these are suggestions..

Would like to see a dedicated "New Posts" button to browse the various new posts spanning to different categories.

You can argue it seems the front page is this but another page style in which its laid out consecutively by TIME so we can communicate with individuals that are currently available to make trade.

This will not happen, it has been brought up before and i believe is even on the do not suggest page. Sythe.org is an open market, an online market, and one where every individual has the right to share what and how much of their own personal information, and for the buyer to decide on what and how much information is enough for them to feel comfortable.

To get into a premium traders group other than DONATOR to generate team/clan/squad Comradery amongst us enabling better Character Retention as opposed to a hunting ground of scammers.

Probably something you can do on discord? perhaps start here Community General to begin the processes and than over here Community Events to facilitate events

Starting business contracts in which people can see which trades they have completed with who what when where how and details in regards as opposed to vouches pages. Number of successful details and mere + reputation totals.

When completing a trade, it is up to the seller/buyer to leave up their thread, the buyer/seller can vouch directly on that thread, and then that vouch be quoted onto the vouch page which would link to that thread. This is already a feature just not many people like to implement this system into their daily routine.

I understand all this is highly risky and sensitive to just be put out in PUBLIC and encourages huge red flags for individuals that simply don't like the mere idea of Sythe.com so is there a better way we can verify identity before even using the damn site through text message and various sensible tech so its not a damn shit show of scammers lurking around with a smile thinking this is too ez preying on people.

Sythe.org , you'll have scammers and frauders in every online forum/community that you encoutner. I'm not sure if this is the first place you've looked into as far as online business but this is pretty common unfortunately. Even sites like playerauctions where you have to verify identity, people still scam. Remeber, if there is a will there's a way..

Probably a common issue already, but when someone post farms and those posts eventually get deleted, the Sythe Gold they've earned with spamming doesn't get removed. Should someone want to, they could easily farm a shitload of Sythe Gold this way. Now I doubt anyone would be retarded enough to do this considering Sythe Gold is worth jackshit, but ye, just so you know.

3. Staff manually remove spammed SG, if a user spams hundreds of it (and if we deem it relevant - do not report this Wortel, for the love of goď)

Not an a significant issue, but when using page nav (previous or next), it won't load the desired page and will instead kick you back to home.

Try opening the desired page in a new tab, this seems to be a workaround for many issues.

That works.

I have a habit of just changing the page number in the url to the desired page so that I don't need to sort through all of the page numbers, but it's probably easier to do it your way

Same here noticed it yesterday

 

Working on fixing the search/find post issue. One of our servers was unexpectedly terminated due to some sort of legal fight between two upstream providers (completely unrelated to us). This server contained our search system. We are collateral damage. I'm rebuilding the search system on another server now.

At the moment my account seems semi-fixed, however when trying to view my threads it says "user has not posted any content". Not sure if this has been brought up yet, figured I'd add. Thanks for the continued efforts to fix the issues @Sythe

Yeah the new search server isn’t populating due to breaking api changes in the new version of that software. I am going to have to downgrade it to match xf. Then the index still needs to be rebuilt which will take several days. This isn’t a small amount of data so you will have to wait unfortunately. Try use Google with “site:sythe.org” in your query in the meantime.

 

ok update: I found a version of the software that is close but doesn't quite match. I wrote a shim to make it API compatible with our ancient forum software (xf2 when?). The rebuild process has been restarted and appears to be working correctly now.

 

Still a bit wonky for me, however, it may be that the rebuild hasn't been completed.

yes it's still processing

 

Rebuild restarted on a different version of the search software that doesn't need the api shim. I ran thread index first, which is now finished so you should be able to find your threads now. Posts are building now, then I will do conversations and the rest.
