Site Problems Thread

Already fixed, rumors say Matthew is working on thread icons.

 

Ahhhh the entire home page is fucked up now it's all code at the top.

Update: Shit's just goin' on left n right. I'm gonna assume something's being updated and stop complaining.

 

Personally not a fan of the page numbered layout being crunched together like that. Not appealing at all.

 

It's a bug. It's in the bug tracker so it'll get fixed at some point.

 

Search function is still messes up quite often, especially if you attempt to search for a keyword within a thread, or use the advanced search option. You're left with an error message more than often.

 

I took 5 minutes to look into this and it seems like just a CSS issue:



Either just get rid of the width property on scrollable or get rid of the damn "!important". Not sure if that will break anything else but using "!important" seems to point to bigger issues.

 

Ah. I has assumed it was Xenforo and not your changes. That makes a lot more sense. I'd be happy to help fix other stuff if you'd like.

 

This is basically the same issue as it being too narrow. I'm looking at the CSS and really what it needs is to be sized dynamically based on the amount of pages. Right now it's just a hard coded number so previously it was too narrow and now its too wide.

 

I'm just reluctant because I've gone down that road at work before and it never worked completely correctly and is always breaking even as we sunk days of dev time into it. We have no choice in that case because we are using Slickgrid which is virtual dom black magic that needs an explicit size to work correctly.

I've looked into this from the CSS more:

So the "scrollable" class always has 5 elements in it so we can do the math and that's what the Xenforo community forum style does so I'm going with that is the correct way to solve the problem. There also seems to be "@Media" properties for mobile. It also looks like there is a separate class "gt999" for numbers that are in the thousands.

If you would let me play with the actual theme and a way to test it I can probably get it to work.

I asked him to edit my original post but he told me that he couldn't even if he should be able to-

 

I've said multiple times it's most likely a permissions issue. I'm not able to edit posts in that section.

 

Moderators should be able to edit, still.

 

I'm not sure if this is intended, but the only people able to delete posts on my "profile wall" are admins, should normal users be able to delete posts from their wall if someone posts something inappriopate?
I don't think I should have to close my wall to posts because someone chooses to be inappriopate.
