My PI was not posted on the forum by myself. It was posted by a moderator (at the time) im a thread I was not involved in and had no knowledge of.

I’d say it’s just principle really I guess the staff will use this case as precedent of sorts for future cases, dicking over the oo. I respect your decision however you’re a good man

I could've referred to a case 2-3 months ago where video stated that they could not determine who recovered an account because it was resold and no refunds were given in that case. I'm sure I would've not been held responsible but at the end of the day it's just money.

I'm still certain I can recover it at the house where I created it, so hopefully whoever has it left some GP on it so I can take it lol

Ahhh I see. Well the info was still publically known on sythe. Where I read all of this did not specify that and I apologize if you fee like I'm ousting your or something. Unlike broken man I'm not trying to do that. I just want to be sure of that and thankfully you were able to clear that up.

Regardless of who posted it, does it matter? What are the rules on that? If the info wasn't posted by you and posted by a former mod is it still considered doxing? What about if a user requotes a old post with your IRL info that you posted? Is this considered doxing (since it is sill technically "posting personal info", rather the user posted it unknowingly or not?

The rules done seem to specify this and that's why this whole situation is confusing. again, rather or not you posted the info, it was still publically available on sythe, and the rules say if it's publically available on sythe then it's okay.

How does this apply to my case (3-4 years ago I posted my irl info.) if someone requotes that 5 years later is it considered a dox?

What exactly constitutes a "dox" on sythe.

@Tyler I do agree that regardless of rather it was against the rules or not or if there was some loop hole he was using, what seraphic did wasn't right and there was no reason to do it, so I'm on your side on that. I'm just confused about the official rules on who gets banned and what constitutes a dox.

It's okay. They're similar situations so you seem to be trying to understand why your case was treated differently than mine.

Disclosure of Personal Information of a Staff Member or Acquaintance of a Staff Member: This includes, but is not limited to, full names, private emails, Skype/Facebook, addresses, phone numbers, private photos, etc

There will be a 6 month Spam Forum ban on top of this

A second offence from the same user will result in a permanent ban

This rule does not apply to information/photos that the staff have posted publicly on Sythe about themselves (or reposting of the same provided the original thread still exists)

For the sake of clarity, an acquaintance of a staff member is a family member or close friend who is only associated with Sythe through a staff member, if at all

These are the rules that pertain to my situation (Staff). They say specifically that "information staff have posted on sythe about themselves" or reposting of the same provided the original still exists.

@Gen i suggest you re-give seraphic his motm considering that thread in com gen is majority in favour of a person keeping their motm. Also as there wasn't a proper cdt discussion before an announcement or removal its absolutely degrading of the cdt to allow the situation to stand (the removal).

should of been banned last month anyway he tried to dox me sending me my first ,last name and address for no reason what so ever. I never even talked to him before, don't know how seraphic was motm he is scumbag. I did report it however panda told me that was not doxing i feel it would of been different if he had Pm'd a mod the same information about them.

says dox doesnt have to make it public , searching or identifying information with malicious intent, if he did not have malicious intent, why else would he be doxing me for no reason what so ever,
in the case with john and maldesto he pmd him his information did not make it public .

Not fight for him, not really "fighting", I am just trying to understand why one user was banned when other users do the same shit and don't get banned AND, regardless, I don't think the other users should be banned anyway so I think this is all a big troll of a mess

Paper got banned for Doxinf, right after the CDT removed his MOTM and mods banned seraphic, even though seraphic claimed to be technically writhing the rule, and the people who doxed me were also writhing the rules (yes loop holes do exist here).

I think that this is a huge joke

I retract my statement that he should be unbanned, and I'm not trying to do that, I was using it to prove a point that I feel some users are treated differently than other users, and maybe not on purpose....
