    Simple Stake Pardon Thread -

    Hey there,

I would like to start off by apologizing for breaking the rules.

With that said, I will now take the time to elaborate on what occurred, and explain why I would very much appreciate being pardoned for my offense.

My account, Simple Stake, was banned for owning an account on the site HackForums, and specifically, because I partook in the practice of E-Whoring, which is against forums rules.

While I understand these offenses, I was not aware at the time, that they were in fact breaking forums rules. In addition, I understand that regardless of the lack of my knowledge, that is not an adequate excuse, because I should have been more aware of Sythe forum rules. Although, regardless of this, I would hope that the staff member reviewing my case will acknowledge a few important factors to consider.

-I have owned the Sythe account, Simple Stake, for several years, and clearly care about my account.
-Throughout the years, I have done my best to participate in a proactive and helpful in the community, and be nothing less than a solid sythe member.
-Throughout the years, I have took part in several very successful transactions, in which I have never scammed, and have never been scammed, for I only do business with people are far more trusted than myself.
-The fact that I broke this rule is inexcusable, but the fact of the matter is, and I hope who ever is reading this agrees, that the rule I broke is something that can possibly be let go, given my track record.
--One can see this, hopefully, for viewing my account - I have owned the account for years and have done successful deals for years.
--The reason problems arose, is because I made a HackForums account within the last 6 months, because I slowed up with my usage of Sythe, and then later learned through my banning, that owning a HackForums account was not allowed.

Lastly, I would hope that who ever reads and reviews my case, understand that I never intended to finagle the system, and get by with having an undercover HackForums account. I was never trying to hide that, and was actually just unaware of the rules. I think it is also important to note that what I was doing on HackForums was by no means black hat. I never broke laws. I never scammed. I just used the forums as another way to have access to another online marketplace. I would also like to point out that I no longer participate in EW, and will not go back to it anytime soon.

Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
    Simple Stake

In response to Superman, and all others that are reading -

I want to start off by saying what I have done is in fact wrong, but I do feel as though I can partially justify myself. I never scammed anyone. And the money was never taken without receiving something in return. Let me set it straight - EWhoring is a bad thing to do, no doubt about it. But its a form of deception, not a form of scamming. While it is wrong, the sad truth is, the buyer is still receiving what he pays for - pictures or videos of a girl. While that isn’t me, and it is deceptive, the customer is never left feeling abused or scammed, because it simply isn’t the case. And while I am ashamed of it, and no longer doing it, I just wanted to point this out, to not make it seem as though I am a scammer. I can’t say I I’ve acted in a professional way here by any means, but the money was “happily spent” and the customers were “satisfied”.

Could it not be seen as scamming for the fact that they aren't receiving the goods they think they are (they believe it to be you yet it isn't)

E-whoring if it's IN the game on RS, and you're not using a voicechanger or anything of sorts over skype, or making a fake FB and what not, should be fine. If you use the aforementioned and more, it goes into much more, and is practically social engineering aswell. Sure, it's stupid, and maybe unethical...but nothing else really. It's pretty much the same concept as luring - you're deceiving someone. If it's just done by using what the game provides you (typing/characters/items/etc), then I see no issue. Doesn't mean I agree with it, but that's irrelevant.

I think E-Whoring is completely deceptive, very immoral and definitely a form of social engineering, however I don't believe that in this case it requires to user to refund the victims.

I'm still unsure as to whether I'll support or not.

Yeah I mean it might not be the case that we require you to refund those people but I was interested in seeing whether you ever did so anyway

Hasn't been that long since you even started offering that service, it's too soon for me to believe that you've stopped and have no plans of doing it in the future. Not to mention ewhoring consists of deceit, which only weakens your word in my eyes.

I'm also going to go with a no.
