Simba on Linux CentOS VPS - Possible?

Hey hey guys

Recently I purchased a cheapish linux CentOS VPS in an attempt to see if I could get a bot going on it. Thing is, I didn't check if Simba had a Linux compatible version, and from what I can see, there isn't an official one.

Does anyone know a way I can get it to work? Or if there are any other bots that will work on Linux? I've heard there is a way with a program called "Wine," which opens the file under like a Windows compatibility mode, or I've heard there are unofficial Linux versions of the bot out there.

Can anyone help?

 

Why the heck would you buy a VPS before even knowing if a bot works on it, and on top of that not even knowing any scripts to use right away.

Anyways,yes Simba can work on Linux though WINE.

It was $6, so I'm not too worried about an investment that small.

I saw that guide before, I'm (Pretty sure) I have Wine fully installed, but I don't actually get what I need to do afterwards to actually get the Simba Bot running afterwards.

(Sorry for sounding like such a noob, Completely new to Linux.)

 

Do you have access to the visual side of the VPS?
I thought CentOS was just command line since its made for hosting.

 

Yeah I do, I set that up following a guide made by KeroKeroCola, so I can see it through VNCViewer.

 

Install Wine.
Install Java for Windows on the linux through wine (it's exactly the same as windows).
Install Simba and you're done.

 

If you have everything installed just open Simba.exe with wine

 

Linux is pain in the ass :S
