"Unfortunately, it is clear that we have not built sufficient consensus for a clean blocksize upgrade at this time. Continuing on the current path could divide the community and be a setback to Bitcoin’s growth.” - B2x dev note

This is a good thing for the health of Bitcoin in the long term. I think a lot of money will flow out of Bitcoin into other coins like LTC, ETH, OMG, and a few others.

Some BTC holding mobsters probably planning a hit on Jeff Garzik btw...

The market's going crazy, tons of green

I have read that it restores faith in BTC for those who were against the fork and the price might go up
On the other hand, those who put money from ALTs into BTC expecting to sell off the S2X and put the money back into ALTs might be looking to sell

Is it a good time to buy more BTC or sell?
    What do you guys think/suggest?

Heard it on reddit 3 hours ago, nevertheless great day for alts.

Good day for the Segwit2x team as well for the amount of inside trading they've done by now. ;)

    Ethereum is feeling the love.

The bug that had to do with a 3rd party wallet not Ethereum, but breaking $300 is always a good sign, and it's just begun, we'll see how things go. Also shorted BTC moments after the news from when the price went from ~$7700 to ~$7300 before closing, felt good.

Also not just $6, was at $320 for a while, and did hit over $335 on most exchanges during the spike.

Damn I didn't see trading view for that's that's awesome..

And yeah the parity wallet I believe was behind it, but it's also a major wallet. I think that technically Charlie Lee said it had to do with something in the code stating "God is King Right?! (Laughing face).

Right, but people have to keep in mind that the DAO fork affected 14% of all Ethereum which today would be $4,000,000,000 worth stolen. We know for a fact they aren't hard-forking from the parity exploit, based on Vitaliks tweet. And, the DAO hack put the stolen funds into the hands of an attacker on top of it all, rather than just killed the contract locking the funds like the parity case.

However as much as I support Ethereum, Charlie Lee isn't wrong. If you are a fan of immutability in a blockchain, or atleast with Ethereum, you'd already be on Ethereum Classic right now. That isn't to say I agree with the DAO hardfork, however during the DAO hardfork like I said, 1. 14% of all ETH was at stake, but 2. This was when Ethereum was a lot newer and their reputation was on the line. If they didn't fork, it could've ruined Ethereum's reputation for years to come.

I don't support the idea of "forking" when a lot of money is stolen, but what I do support is the Ethereum Foundation and their team's goals and objective for their entire Ethereum project long term. So while I don't agree forking was morally correct, I also keep in mind that Ethereum isn't just a coin with a value. It is a token that has a usage, and is part of an entire eco-system, so when almost 15% of your entire supply gets stolen while your reputation is on the line because you're the new kid on the block, you have to do something.

I would be very very surprised to see Ethereum hard-fork again for any amount less than 25% of the total ETH supply stolen, but this goes for almost every other coin in existence. Charlie Lee says he would never fork Litecoin to return the money from the hackers hands to the people, but if Charlie was put into the scenario where 15-25% of all Litecoin was stolen, but not just stolen, taken from all his main supporters, I think Charlie too would be supportive of a hard-fork on Litecoins chain, as majority of people would choose to support Charlie in that decision, however if people disagree that's whats great about blockchains, they can keep the old-chain and maintain immutability like the ETH and ETH Classic scenario.

Hard forks are there for a reason, anyone can hard fork, its just up to the user on which chain they choose to follow.

Well Charlie isn't anti-fork. He believes in scaling, but he doesn't believe in rushing forks for this reason. Why fork BTC when it doesn't need to be forked? Why not wait until everyone is ready to fork to decide to try... Oh yeah, that's right, FREE MONEY!. I truly do believe that is the root cause of all of this.

Want to help solve BTC scaling? Simple, atomic swap between LTC and BTC over LN. Boom. I am a believer in LTC for the main reason that it does what half of these other coins are meant to do and does it better.

I'll save the LTC pump, but what I think people like Charlie Lee understands is that fundementals are what matters at the end of the day. Not the name (2X reference lol), not the logo, not the code, the fundementals. What's funny is that Charlie tweeted about added smart contracts to the LTC network lol. I mean, what better way to test out for the BTC network of smart contracts would become a thing. It would help keep BTC more relevant against cryptos like ethereum.

I am a supporter of Ethereum and I do believe that they have created a great product/platform. I do not hold ETH however, because I tend to shy away from diversity in investments, especially when you aren't dealing with whale like funds. One thing I do not like about ETH is its scaling issues, and honestly, with 98-99% of the world still to find out what BTV is, much less ETH, I don't think sharding and the multiple scaling projects coming up will help much, especially for a platform that is meant to not only handle transactions like BTC does, but other information like smart contracts. If the had to process as many payments/second as say Visa or PayPal, you are talking about a HUGE increase in block sizes, forks, and other problems.

I think as long as scaling is an issue, we will see forks. I think ETH can fork again, but that's just my opinion. I think it could fail if it tried to fork today or this year, but I can see it happening a few days down the line.

I would like to see BTC as a store of value much like gold, or held as an asset/savings, LTC as a currency (it's most fitted to do so), and other ICO and cryptos like Vertcoin, ethereum based tokens, doge coin, and others to be used as "fun tokens" or in ethereum's case, business and transactional tokens. (Doge is not on the same level at ETH, but really, what are most of these ICO even doing? To me it's just a giant money grab and at the end of the day a handful of coins will come out on top).

Lol the whole point why to get the equal B2X, sell the B2x, take the profits and invest in one of the big 5 wasn't it?

Is that what you were going to do?

We LTC HODLers were waiting for you guys to do that and scrape up cheap BTC because we all thought it would just go downhill. I think there will be a good sell off of BTC soon. Best to get out now honestly

People are still trying to make sense of all of this. Korea is awake and the ought the night and next few days we will see how the market looks.

Yep, BTC dropping as we speak and LTC and nearly all other alts are rising.

Sig2x fucked so many people over. They lost all credibility. Nice insider trading though. They made about $15+million between 4 people, which is sickening.

I am all for stricter ICO regulation for this reason.

What does this picture have to do with anything? How does circulating supply in anyway relate to the tecnhical spec, capabilities, and fundamentals of the coin and how well the coin will perform in the long term? I'm confused what point you are trying to prove
