You can do virtually nothing with under 100k. Bite the bullet and fish/mine/flax until at least 1M, then you'll have enough to start investing (although real profit only starts once you have several million).

buy lowest say highest, not much and slow but it's safe and risk-free
when you get some decent cash i advise merchanting TT items like wizzy G and str ammys (t)

Try collecting items for your first mil or two. Then start merchanting, flipping, or even investing if you can keep up with the economy.
