Absolutely agree, Deleting posts that are breaking the rules is not fair there is a reason infractions exist and they are meant to be handed out when rules are broken, Also every gold seller on this site should adhere the rules This is a forum , not your personal business site. there are other sellers and traders on this forum which makes you no superior then any other gold trader.

How is this not spam / excessive bumping that his worker just posted?

2 hours after a customer replied saying he will buy more:

First we both know he doesn't spend his whole day looking over other sellers' post(s). Stop trying to bash him because he brought this up and it's targeted directly against you. This thread is here because of excessive bumping. What he has been seeing is your thread has always been on top, with the last post being one of your employees. You're a gold seller and you don't spend all your time looking over others' posts, but what if your competitor's thread is always on top. It brings curiosity to why it is and you check if it's fair play.

You know that what they have been doing, thanking a customer after 3-4 hours is a sneaky bump. But you haven't admitted it nor answered why it's done. Don't go ahead saying that it's because you want to be polite and stuff. It's a sneaky bump, and you could thank them via livechat or even on Runescape. I don't believe they were so busy that they couldn't have simply done that within an hour. Gold buyers don't check back again on your thread once they've received their gold, and it's highly unlikely they would see it. Find another way to thank people than using it to your advantage as a sneaky bump.

Excessive bumping**: - No double posting / delete posts within 8 hours (spam rules still apply)

The bumping rule is you cannot bump more than once within 8 hours. I'm sure you know that and from the posts I've seen you made, you don't go over that line. However your workers have.

    Here's another example.

Please don't say that's a vouch. That could have been done via live chat right after the gold was traded. You don't thank 2 people at the same time and call that a vouch. Call it spam or excessive bumping, in the end they have the same goal for you, which is to get the thread up.

Either way I see this thread turning out to have little action because everyone has a different judgement on spam. I agree the few hours later post to bump is bs.

As you can see though, there are plenty of people who notice that there's a problem with this.
This should be enough for some discussion and hopefully some changes.

    And in reply to video's post;
I'm still waiting for an answer to my question as to why the posts are simply getting deleted?

Yeah, it seems like sneaky bumping, this is true. Well, I'd think his site was approved by links? I don't know.

What does concern me, however, the forum PM I saw concerning the live chat. It should be more specific such as:

We are talking on (your website)'s live chat... just my two cents on something a bit unrelated. Would have stopped that scam report I saw earlier.

so if we see someone posting their own website should we report that post? Like in the case of a gold selling site

It's within the rules. That's why we do it. Quit pointing fingers at us on it, everybody does it, it's not just us. Just remember, rules need to be applicable across the marketplace. And we had this exact same post made on this exact forum ~2-3 months ago, and we decided to disallow bumps and delete-posts within an 8-hour period.

People need to realize that for rules to be FAIR, there simply needs to be equality. If every person is allowed to do the same thing, then the rules do not favour anybody. If anyone can explain how we have an unfair advantage on anybody else, I am all ears. But if you are just going to whine about how we thank our customers, when every other Sythe merchant is completely welcome to do the same thing, and say we are the problem, you get no respect from me.

I am sick of our company being singled out simply because we are successful. We are at the top of the forums because we have 5 employees, and near-24h service, with extremely dedicated workers. Don't mistake our strong effort for an unfair advantage; we put in more hours than anybody else on these forums.

EDIT: Also, wtf does it matter to the OP where my workers are from? My "Chinese" workers? Anne puts in more hours of work than OP, and I am extremely offended that you need to bring up the fact that she is "Chinese". She earns her respect through hard work, you seem to earn it through whining and complaining. You're not a better person just because you are from Netherlands. So get off your high horse buddy.

Well, I normally don't post here but I have been seeing this lately. My 2 cents:

    1. I think posting after an hour replying to a completed trade is not acceptable. If you are online while doing the trade, I don't think it would be an inconvenience at all to vouch the other user right after completion. If you have to hurry into a second trade, vouch when you complete that. If you happen to pass the hour mark, thank them through a pm or vouch their vouch thread.

    2. If you have information regarding your sells or have some urgent information, put it in the original post. If you comment it I think it should count as the bump for your 8 hour period. DON'T confuse this with replying directly to questions. I am sure whoever goes through the reported posts can tell whether it is spam or if it was replying to something SPECIFICALLY.

This is not just directed towards R2 but towards everyone. Unnecessary posts should be infracted.

Also everyone, please don't start throwing around personal insults, its childish. This is something important that we can all discuss nicely. And is there anyway that we can more direct the post towards the problem and not towards R2 himself? I don't know him at all but we will get no where backing him into a corner. Like I said, let's just talk about happening in general and figure out a way to make if fair for EVERYONE.

This pile of garbage is getting put to an end. The rules aren't hard to understand or abide by. Report what breaks the rules and forget the rest.
