God is, in principle, provable.

Why would you believe in God if his existence cannot/has no been proven?

 

Because they are either:

A. Stupid
B. Misinformed
C. Unwilling to say their parents are wrong
D. Unwilling to except a life with out an after life

Even though I still have trouble with D. I don't believe in a god however.

 

I think some people have a hard time getting through life without knowing that they have a father figure watching over them. It gives them hope and assurance, sort of like an imaginary friend they can always talk to. They can't imagine living without this sense of a God in their life, which makes them believe that God is real. But to us atheists, we live without a God everyday and have absolutely no problem with it.
