Should'nt mills be worth more?

When theres thousands of chinese botters collecting mills to sell them, its not too shocking that the prices are dropping (and already have)..

 

actually not only autoers dropped the price, scammers did. Back when I used to sell for up to 14 usd a mil there were still scammers here keeping the price at 5 ea. Now it's autoers and the fact that there is alot more gp in the game and it is alot easier to make.

 

Where does the gp come from then?

Macroers...

 

Things are only worth as much as people are willing to pay for them.

Can't forget supply and demand either.

Oh wait, thats the same thing.

 

what i think dropped the prices is just how runescape works - it lets players bring in millions if not hundreds of millions from the game causing the game economy to to be inflated alot. this makes prices go down since there is a higher supply vs demand

Well things change, the number of suppliers in increasing and the ways of making money are getting easier and there's nothing You can do about it.

 

We're all going to die because we can't sell mils for 7$. Oh no.

Why are we all blaming this on the Chinese bot users? We're a cheating community ourselves aren't we?

 

If you want higher prices on your mills sell for it, you wont get any business but atleast you got your message through.

 

i dont sell mills online any more i just sell them to friends that want money. if they are dispret they buy for 15-20 usd.

 

Yeah, but we're not chinese. Also, their bot pays? We even can't read their so-called language.
I remember too when mills were like 10+ ea. didn't read them before they were 10$ each.

Hey, SMR, when Jansen said "Chinese Gold Farmers" he means kids that are forced to "work" by making rs mills and selling them, instead of working in a factory.

Too much supply, prices drop. The market is like that.

The prices of gold can be looked at in several ways. First of all, it is quite obvious that the value of a Gold Piece in Runescape has greatly changed over the past few years. Back in summer of 2005, the most expensive Phat, a Blue, was roughly 50-55M. This is a difference of nearly 1000% between now and then. Other Rares reflect similar changes in value through the same time period. Back in 2005, the average player had much less GP, because of the basic mechanics in Runescape, which fueled the inflation of GP.

Inflation has been going on in Runescape forever. The x factor was the Dupe, which drove prices right back down to near their starting points. However, the patterns continued after the Dupe, up until around summer of 2006. At this point, Jagex introduced many new facets of the game, such as Construction (natural money-drain), and Skill Capes (complex money-drain). Since these implementations, the Rares market has seemed extremely static. Prices have actually slowly dropped on most Rares, Phats being the exception.

It is only natural that Real-Life prices reflect the In-Game prices. The reason GP was worth more in Real Cash back in 2005, was because GP was also worth more in Runescape. If you showed a player 50M back in 2005, they'd say you're rich. If you showed them 50M today, they'd say "who cares". Obviously, there are other serious factors, such as Gold-Farming and Autoing, but these often are huge fuellers of inflation anyways, so they go hand-in-hand.

 

Yea tose chinese gold farmers and autoers put a lot of money into the economy. Usually more money is added everyday while there are barely anything that happens that takes money away from the game.

 

If we really wanted to, we could set a new standard, of..say 10$.

The problem with that is people would move to other cheating communitys to sell their gold, etc.

It's like he said, it's the economy. People can make over 100m an hour by staking in a good world, nobody used to do that. But I for one am GLAD we can do that. I've made... *counts money* Just over 1.5 grand selling mills.
