IRL "Mate" scammed me 100m

what do i do? im 99.98% certain he didnt get hacked, ( one of my brothers litterally babyproofed him when it came to hacking) how do i confront him? he claimed to have no internet for a while, yet i watched him go from 91-99 slayer (without internet of course.......) how should i approach it, i've ignored it for over a week due to being pretty angry over the situation,knowing no "hacker" would leave almost 20m on a 150m hack (note) the "hacker" left common items worth 500k - 1m in single items, such as dark bow, slayer helm, it genuinely looks like he he deposited his gear after 99 slayer, sold his bank and staked it (due to having no item placeholder) how the fuck do i approach this? 100m isn't much, but the fact i can trust a paki from sweden for 600m, and i cannot trust an irl mate i grew up with is kind of shady (note he claims to have his email hacked) yet the password he gave me for his rs account, isn't one i'd assume he would use, its definately in the same genre of password, he claims he cant get on his email, how can i trap him? i know for 99.98% certainty he didn't get hacked, while he had "no internet" he gained over 28m xp, and got his goal of 99 slayer, only to get "hacked" a few days later, i know he didn't get hacked, so how can i approach thisi>?

 

Knock him out then never speak to him again.

 

It's a really shitty thing to do, I suggest just not being friends with him anymore. If he wants ruin a friendship over some pixel gold on a game then so be it lmao.

i know a couple of friends who've had irl friends take things from them, usually they had lower level accounts and were bemused at the friends for having some wealth and thought nothing of taking their items, probably suspecting that they had a bountiful amount of money anyway

 

Guy sounds like a douche, I would confront him about it and say you don't buy his bullshit (I don't recommend getting violent as some others have recommended in this thread).

Regardless of the outcome - I would strongly recommend cutting all ties with him after this. No need to weigh yourself down with people like that in your life.

 

Straight up confront him. Don't let him think he's got away with it, that's the worst thing you could do.

The way I have dealt with things similar is by disowning them if you will.

I'm not saying people have scammed me specifically, but I have had friends who I met online who know me quite personally (have me on Facebook/had me on Facebook etc, where my public life is) and I just avoid them if they are of that sort. I don't want to be mixed up in the same crowd and I wouldn't want anyone else to either, as it's not a very nice thing to experience or see.

 

Confront him. If it doesn't go anywhere cut him out. $100 (or $25) is a small price to pay to cut out a shitty friend.

 

Learn from it, with every relationship we have to evaluate risk, wether that's in rs or irl. So you need to evaluate risk from now on and decide if you want to accept it or not. You were risking 100m to your friend and accepted the risk then he took it. This goes towards everyone from friends, gf, bf, husband, wife, mother and father. You have to look at all those relationships and evaluate how much you are risking towards them then decide if you want to take it or not. You decided to take the risk on this irl friend and got screwed... You can never really know how a person is on the inside. Our evaluation of people is what we see on the outside, anyone can put up a front. I personally like taking the least risks possible. It's hard finding people that take pure consciousness over the greedy mind, just the way the world is. It's hard to find real friends out here with all these fake niggas out here.

 

Confront him so he is aware you know what he did. Cut him off regardless. Scamming an irl friend for pixels shows his pathetic character and lack of loyalty. Not worth being friends with him.

 

Agree with everyone on this thread. Fuck this kid dude if you are certain its him, its absolutely pathetic someone would pick pixels over a friend. Confront him.
