Should you smoke cigarettes?

There's obviously more added draw backs than added benefits, as economists would say. The industry is too big to ever shut down due to the amount of income and profits which they receive - it's never going to be illegal. Do I think there should be restrictions on it? Yes, such as the current age restriction which I think is old enough. Once your 18-19, you're capable of making decisions about your body.

 

Why 18-19? People's brains develop differently. Some need more time. Setting an arbitrary age doesn't help anyone. I agree the industry is huge though

 

Like many have said..
-It's harmful
-It's expensive

It should be legal it's a horrible thing but imagine if it wasn't legal.
Alot more crime but I'm sure there are more negative and positive effects.

You should never start... I started smoking two years ago. Got addicted within a couple of months... But i quit 2 months ago and i don't even "fiend" for a ciggarette. The addiction is pretty hard to over come, i won't lie. But if you're a strong hearted person and have will power you can quit.

Your body your rules. Just don't intoxicate others if you choose to smoke.

 

By the same rationale, why not step in front of a bus?

If you want to smoke, feel free to do it by yourself, away from the presence of others who you are harming as well as yourself. It is absolutely proven to be a common cause of lung cancer, which is extremely aggressive and largely untreatable.

If you want to do that to yourself, become addicted (thanks to the addicting chemicals placed in cigarettes deliberately) and cost yourself an enormous amount of money, feel free.

 

It's a personal choice, but I don't think it's fair to do it around everyone else. If people have made the decision not to smoke, then others should not smoke near them, it's pretty much just as bad.
It shortens your life and so, I am completely against it.

 

It's all really by personal preferance really, the odd one may not be so bad.

Smoking shouldn't be banned, people have become too used to being able to go out and smoke a cig.

 

Im having compulsions to smoke, especially when i go out to clubs or drink. I really really just wana have a ciggarette.

Smoking cant be banned, look at marijuana, its banned but we still smoke.

And if you want to smoke, then smoke.

 

No smoking is disgusting. It's bad for the health and makes you older..
