Change runescape account section names

Currently it says accounts combat up to 200; however, since the legacy update the combat level went back to 138, so I think it would be appropirate to change the names of the subsections.

 

Good suggestion. I think the combat should revert back to the old system in the market. If users from eoc want to sell their account, they should switch over to legacy to see what combat level they are and sell it in the appropriate spot.

As of now it shows:



Suggested levels:

Levels 4-99
Levels 100-115
Levels 116-138

In that order, same for pures. A sticky should be made to notify users of the change and the procedure I just stated.

 

I think it should be 3-99 - because some people may still have level 3's.

 

I think that it should just be changed to how it used to be, which is:
3-59
60-99
100-138

138 Combat is in non-legacy modes as well

From a market perspective wouldn't it be better and more oganized to subside markets by the type of account and not their level? Depending on the progress of the account any type of account can fall into any level category making all of the sections mushed together with all account types.

If someone is looking to "buy" a pure account, it'd be easier to look into the "pure" section rather than browse through two possibly fitting level categories. Same thing with the "main" accounts.

The current way is easier because it's specific. That's just my opinion.

 

It's actually less specific. Its like generalizing people from ages 1-50. There are other possible sub sections of MORE interest (gender, ethnicity, height, weight).

Are you more likely to say "I really want to look into buying a level 70." or "I'm shopping around for a pure account". I think the labels I mentioned help pinpoint consumer categorization in what they REALLY want.

 

With this current setup, you know what you're looking for when you venture into the sub sections.

The suggested method you chose was generalizing pures and mains of all kinds. Wouldn't it be harder to target a specific pure you want if they're all together?

• If you look at the other RuneScape sections; the item section is comparably a ghost town. The item exchange for RuneScape 3 definitely doesn't need two sections thanks to the grand exchange.
• We can also see that the RuneScape 07 account sales are a lot less in volume than the RuneScape 3 account sales. Therefore don't need to be broken down in to level brackets as currently.
• RuneScape 07 accounts are lost within a subsection and maybe should have presence on the home page.
• The Name Sales section doesn't specifically belong in either server, so we can change it to Item and Name Sales.

• Oldschool has as much presence on the main page making it more balanced for both types of players
• Item Exchange is a little smaller and takes up less space, as it isn't widely used
• To me, just looks more organised, but that's just me

From my experience account trading, there is a tonne of threads being bumped; that wouldn't split them up enough to make it easy to browse IMO. I read your comment while I was writing mine and pondered doing it that way but I think some sort of level split is needed.

Unless someone actually wants to count or work out the percentage of skillers & pures and see if splitting them that way was just as good, be my guest

 

Cannot agree more.
Name sales fit way better there, and merging the RS3 item markets makes sense.
Also much less confusing having RS3 and 07 accounts split like that.
I've always had a bit of a struggle finding the 07 markets
