Im from somewhere in the world that no one cares about  Quebec:sick: Canada im 18 years old so i can legally vote(and drink myself to death) the elections are coming up soon but i don't know much about politics i know "Every vote counts" does it really count when you don't know what the hell your doing? I know people who vote and don't know much about politics and i don't think that helps anyone. Do you think i should vote?

Every vote does count. If you don't know much about politics, maybe it's time to educate yourself on that? Vote for the person/party whose ideas you support.

Previous generations fought for the right to vote/democracy.

Yeah, every vote does indeed count, and it is important. Just do your homework and learn about that. Look up the candidates, look at who's views are close to yours or if some of them appeal to you, etc. Don't worry too much, and good luck.

Honestly, you should investigate the options and see who can do the most for you and everyone else in the country. Voting is important, technically your vote could be the difference between a democratic government or communists taking over.

Educate yourself and then you can vote in every election until you pass away. You'll know you did what you thought was right at the end.

    Should i vote?

Nope, your vote doesn't count. Voting gives people the illusion of control over their own lives. The elections are rigged by monster corporations and ubiquitous advertising, and all the candidates are the same anyway.

That's not accurate at all unless you look at them from a very far distance.

Just read a bit on what everyone has to offer and pick who you think would be best. It won't take you more than an hour to figure that all out so just do it. You have a right that many do not have. Use it.

If you are voting for the sake of voting while ignorant to who you are actually voting for you shouldn't. Get to know the candidates and then make your vote.

Like many of the others have said,

Look up who you're going to vote for first. Read a little bit about each party, and perhaps into their past to see if they've been voted before and if they've been successful and stuck to their 'promises'. I'm 17 and can't wait until I can vote, as I have the option millions of others won't have. And you're correct, every vote does make a difference as your one vote could be the difference between a party winning or losing so it's quite crucial you look up who you're going to vote beforehand and DON'T be a sheep and follow what your friends or family does. They have their own opinions and I'm sure you do too...

I'm not sure if it works the same over in America as it does here in the U.K, so I apologize if anything I said was inaccurate to the rules of voting in America :)

I still have no clue who I'm going to vote for when I'm able too, but I will decide closer to the time and see what they're offering. And what someone else also said, people in the past fought for freedom of speech, and for the freedom to vote. So why not vote if you have the opportunity?

    Good luck with your voting!

Do your research, find out who you share similar viewpoints/opinions with, and go with your best judgement. You don't want to blindly vote someone into office that you don't agree with.
