Should I stop smoking pot?

If you feel you don't want to smoke, then don't. Don't let any friends pressure you, and to everyone that has said smoking pot is addictive and makes you stupider. It isn't, and doesn't. This past summer for the most part I was high everyday. I just like weed it makes me feel good. I am now at college and have been for a month, and I've only smoke a few times since. I don't have any withdrawal from it. Of course I want to smoke, but I don't need to. As for it making you stupider, I'm doing better at college than I did all through highschool.

 

Unless it's taking a toll on your life or your unhappy don't worry man. Shits harmless so much better for you then drinking.
Make sure you get done the shit you need to do and stay sober for school/work and your all sweet

im 22 now i own my own business got my associates in HR and currently working on my bachelors in business...
throughout highschool I played football and wrestled and ended up taking runner up 07 state championships..
and my grades through high school? NHR graduated with a 4.0 and honors.. throughout college been about the same except when my brother passed I went through a rough patch..

Really everyone is INDIVIDUAL and different .. it effects everyone different.. You need to decide onyour own some people can smoke all day everyday and live great lifes.. some people it can ruin their life..

Yeah man, I'd stop. I smoke pot semi-regularly, but only really at social situations/hikes/nature walks/concerts. I don't just smoke to pass the time. i"d stop, it seems to be a waste of your time

not the drugs.. One of my good friends is very well off by his own accord and hes also a casual cocaine user.. but that dont stop him from making great money and living a very nice life..

 

I'll tell you this, Gravity bongs are the most effective bang for your buck, bongs are next, pipes/blunts/joints are at the end. Bongs filter out a lot of the toxins associated with any type of smoking. I usually just smoke at night; it makes me sleep more well, I eat a snack before I fall asleep, and it makes sexual stuff a lot more intense, lol.

Helpful tip though if you're not experienced, try not to get really drunk or dip tobacco while you smoke. It makes you way too dizzy lol.

But don't listen to anyone else's opinion about bud, if you like it and you feel like its not affecting your life significantly or making you too fat from the munchies, I say there is nothing wrong with having a little fun, life is just too short!

 

I don't drink and i don't smoke spliff's so nothing to worry about there, That's another reason I've continued to smoke pot I've noticed if I smoke then sleep I sleep a lot better and wake up in a better mood. I'm 15, the only access I have to a bong is when I smoke with my Sister and her boyfriend.

Seem's to me like your only smoking pot because people around you are smoking pot..

Canada, also not too sure how thrilled my mom would be about me receiving a bong in the mail =p.

 

As far as smoking weed goes, morally you should quit. However, smoking weed is different than most drugs. As everyone knows it is an herbal plant, which can be used for medical purposes. For this reason, i do not consider pot to be "dangerous". However, it is like many herbal plants, the effects can be dangerous. Me personally i smoke alot. I would not encourage driving or anything like that, but its kinda hard to say "dont drive", from personal experience. In my opinion, just be a smart smoker and you'll be fine.

 

If you want to stop, you will. No one else can decide for you.

I think whether you stop smoking pot or not, is a decision that only you can make. You should ask yourself why you even posted this question in the first place. Do you feel guilty about smoking pot, or do you find that smoking/being high is affecting your life in a negative way? IMO, weed is completely harmless, and so the decision to toke up relies on your personal situation and how you feel the drug affects you.

If you enjoy smoking pot and it has little to no negative effect on your life, then hey why not As long as it is in moderation, a little pot never killed anybody.

If you find that you are starting to spend all your money on pot, that your grades at school/chores at home are suffering as a result of being high, that you are fighting with your parents alot more or hanging out with a different crowd because they also like to smoke pot etc. then you should definitely consider giving it up. Although marijuana is relatively harmless, it can still affect peoples lives very negatively if they are not careful.

 

I posted this to get others opinions, and to get an idea of when most people started smoking pot.

 

I started in 8th grade. It hasn't changed me much mostly because I don't do it much at all, only in occasions when I feel that it would be a good decision. All these anti marijuana people with their bullshit facts need to go read up and learn that this plant is less harmful then things we digest everyday.

You create your own happiness, if weed being in your life makes you even a little bit more happy, then by all means keep on toking.

Stop while you can, when you grow up you'll have drug demons tormenting you, making your life shitty, now that you're young, it must be easier to get rid of the temptation.

 

you can't actually get "addicted" to pot

so you can stop and hop back on whenever you want.

 

alot of people smoke pot, if you smoke in moderation or every once in a while, its not a big deal and you shouldn't stop.
