I'm renting an appartment, as far as I know split units are required to be installed on the building, while a mobile airco requires no installation at all. Changing anything permanent in the appartment is not allowed, therefore this was the only option.

I've bought the Honeywell MN10CESWW mobile airco by the way, so far it worked fine - though I've expected a little bit more. There's quite a gap in my wallet now, so I guess it's time not to spent anything any further. This works OK on the warmest days, though I couldn't get it much colder than 25Celcius degrees inside (with the unit set to 18Celcius degrees). Atleast I don't die now, that's a good thing.

Really? That's the same one I have and it cools my apartment very well. Then again, we have central AC so it helps on those days when it won't come under 80F. If this is your only method of AC then 25C(77F) is probably pretty good.

Yes man. I live in a student housing were temperatures get like 40+ degrees inside with this Dutch weather. Bought a mobile AC 2 weeks ago and it’s a huge QoL upgrade.
