Guys, I am usually totally against boosting, but I have an issue.

1. I got all troll games for my placements. Some where okay, but most were a one sided disaster...

2. Once I was placed in S3, I carried myself to S2, 70lp..... now I am on a 10 game loss streak and back to Silver 3, 0 lp...

3. I get, Ziggs adc, Ryze adc, Renekton Support, feeding lux, constant trolls and tilters, and the list goes on and on

look, im not that great. Im still learning, but I dont want to continue to get angry and pissed off because my team is just troll and its silver elo.

Should I boost my account to gold, and try to play. If i am not good enough, ill lose gold, and thats okay, but is it worth?

I really dont think im that bad. I play mostly jg and my bot lane or mid lane is ALWAYS feeding and it seems as though the other team is always playing some busted champ like Zed, swain, or yas (yes its busted in silver elo), and when those champs are on my team they are just bad or below average.

Is it my own fault I cant carry myself out of silver? What should I do?

This is really making me hate league of legends. I went through something similar with rainbow Six Seige, but I could honestly say i was near semi pro on console fo Siege, so that is different...

I think (as pretentious this may sound) that you’ll feel a hell of a lot more accomplished once you finally reach the rank you think you deserve if you don’t boost yourself. I personally suck at League, never been higher than Silver 2 , but for example when CSGO first came out, I got placed in Distinguished Master Guardian, which if you don’t know is pretty much the middle tier rank. For about 200 games I went back and forth between that and the Master Guardian Elite rank which was the one lower from DMG. I really felt like I could do better, considering I already had thousands of hours of the earlier Counter-Strike games played. After countless of hours I finally managed to break my way into Legendary Eagle rank after a 22 game win streak and it felt awesome. Not too long after I was Global Elite, but I have to say I wouldn’t have felt nearly as accomplished if I decided to boost. Just my two cents. Hope it helps

Edit: Instead of boosting you could try to duo with a friend and play botlane or one of you plays jungle and the other one on lane. I feel like those could be the best ways to try and carry with your duo partner, but as I said, I’m not that good in League so maybe someone else has better ideas.

the problem is I have no friends to duo... since posting this I got demoted again and now I have been demoted 2 times in 2 days and on a 16 game loss streak. It seems like Ill never leave this elo because it is filled with COMPLETE TROLLS..

I agree that I would feel bad if I boosted :/ ... but sometimes it feels like there is no other way. I promise you that my win rate would double if I was in say, gold 3, where people know how to play the game and aren't trolling or tilting..

thanks for your input :)

I’m not sure as I’ve never been there myself but I have a feeling that it might just be a huge misconception that once you get past a point in ELO you get rid off the trolls and tilters. I don’t think you actually will. There might be players in Gold that think the same way as you that go on a lose streak and end up tilting and trolling.

Maybe you should try to take a little break from the game and come back once you’ve had some time to take a breath, and then go back into it with a newly found motivation. I found myself playing way better after a little break if I went on a what seemed to be an endless lose streak.

What comes to duo partners I think you could find some even in here. Hell, I’d play with you if I was better at the game, I’m sure you’ll find people to play with!

Well boosting ranks in any game is generally not a good idea in my opinion since the second you start trying to play for real, you'll just derank to your elo anyway.

Honestly my best advice to you is, grind out the season and see where you end up. If its like two weeks before season ends and you still aren't gold, then you could look into getting a boost to gold for the border. If you aren't in gold yet, its because you aren't good enough to carry on your own. Just learn from your mistakes and try to really improve. Don't worry about trolls etc because once you figure out how to carry on your own, then you can carry any game.

That's a good idea

Remember how my post said silver 3 0 LP? Yeah I continued to loose. I had to support for a 1-9 driven who has 3 B swords at 24 minutes, so needless to say silver Elo is fairly garbage

get some coaching maybe, silver is very easy to get out, gold isn't any different.

@Eazy E I'm only Diamond 5 at the moment, but used to boost up to gold when I was platinum two years ago. I'll just tell you this: the people who continued to play after they got boosted from silver to gold or bronze to silver, fell down to their old rank within a couple weeks. Your rank is where you belong and nobody is holding you back. Boosting is just a waste of money if you're still going to play on the account. If you just want the rewards and you won't play any more ranked games after the boost then by all means get a boost. But 90% of my clients fell back to their old ranks within the first two weeks and then ended up quitting the game all together because they were so tilted.

Just don't get tilted, the 10 game loss streak, if you played them one after another, were probably just bound to happen. A common tip is to have a break in between games for 20-30 minutes to give yourself a chance to relax.

I'm a D1 Yasuo i have a silver smurf i can play with you if u want for free

i started this season at silver 4, an am now gold 3, i promise you gold is no differen tthan silver, the other day i had a cait go 0-14 running down mid because we had an all AD team.she falt it was an auto loss no matter what so she tried to speed the game up. my advice to you, while in silver, add people you have games with than seem like they have a brain and duo with them.(only way i find duos, my irl friends dont game)(jk i dont have friends) the way i looked at it was, if this person isnt doing half bad, id rther have them on my team then taking the chance of having some short bus looking dumb fuck who put his hlment on backwards and cant see his monitor on my team.

You don't want to hear it but you suck. Bad luck buffers out the more games you play. Remember, if you are BETTER than the league you're in but not SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER (able to completely carry), you have a 4/5 chance of getting a terrible teammate and the enemy has a 5/5 chance. Keep playing. It took me something like 2 years to get into gold, 3 for plat, 4 for diam V, and 5 for diam I before quitting.

Update. I went on a 29 game losing streak.

Placed S3
Carried myself with awesome games (and some bad) to S1
Went on 29 game loss streak straight to silver 5 0LP

I am not Silver 5 40 LP and just going to be playing Flex from now on... Why?

My MMR for Solo/duo is Bronze. My teammates literally ask "what's cloud drake", I get troll ziggs adc, and everyganenis lost because one lane loses. Sound dumb I know...

However, in my Flex, I was silver last year and it seems like my MMR places me with some silver and some gold so the players are much much better and really help my win rate.

I also started playing a lot of bot lane because I realize that I need to carry.

I play:
Jinx
Vayne
Varus
And Caitlyn if they have no healer support

Things are going better now that I'm in flex and practicing Botlane.

I have only done "coaching" once and it was from a challenger shack player years ago. I used to only play Shaco and my win rate was like 75%+ with him. Only problem is that Shaco can kinda fall off late game, so I try new jugglers, but it's hard to carry compared to going ADC, so I'll do that from now on.

Also, going ADC gives me confidence we can win the game and helps my moral.

Thanks for all of the support and advice all. Means a lot.

Anyone want to play some blind sometimes?

I am exactly where you are rn, well was. Kinda.. Legit all you have to do is play carry/simple champs. Easiest in the Jungle. Champs like Jax, Xin Zhao, Aatrox, Warwick, maybe even Kha'Zix or Master Yi. I've started to play some of those champs and I've been easily climbing. You're in one of the worst spots in "elo hell" around s3-g5/4, but you're not going to get out without carrying yourself. I was also on a long ass losing streak, but I'm higher than I was then now.

BUT I wouldn't buy a boost, I actually highly recommend not buying a boost. Even if it's only a few divisions.
