Should homework be banned from schools?

yes they should be banned even tho i don't do any anyway.

any the people that say we should have homework have probably left school

 

IMO, it is good for primary school.

Shouldn't give homework in High School because people just don't care, let them fail if they fail, that'll be a life lesson.

 

Of course homework should be banned, homework doesn't really do anything except pointless reviews over and over. Plus, they give out so much these days that some people are up till midnight doing it. That's not what life is for...people really need time to do other things.

 

That means that we know what happens if you don't do homework, you fail simple as.

Half the people who said to ban it can't actually spell it seems you should stop being lazy and learn to be literate.

You can't tell me what they said isn't true point out one thing in that letter that isnt true.

 

homework is really a waste of time in my case. Im nearly a genious, in all honors, but the thing is i never show my work in math so i get crappy grades (almost had a mental brake down trying to show my work on addition problem cuz i hadent done it in forever)(lol) and my teachers know that im not really that stupid. In language arts writing is a bust but i have like the biggest vocabulary in our whole school. basically when they give me home work do it in the last 5 mins before the second per. bell rings. (ace it :})those are the only two classes that i have homework in any way i jus think its a pointless waste of time that makes me go crazy

I agree kids should have less homework, but reviewing information helps you learn it and remember it.

 

Lol you almost had a mental brake down over an addition problem... It doesn't matter if you are a genious or not you can't get special privilages over the other students that need to do the homework for it to stick in their head.

 

No, it's just stupid, they say it helps but it doesn't matter, they should just not give homework and the people who are having trouble can study if they want. Also, most of school is doing shit you will never use. If you want to be a computer programmer, you would take many classes on that and study a bunch in free time, if you wanted to be a doctor, you would go to medical school. And if you wanted to be a lawyer, you would go to law school. So learning all extra crap in school is just stupid, the learning system really needs to be changed, and I do not want to hear this crap about how "it builds learning style".

 

You are thinking so far ahead of casual homework that it's completely irrelevant.

 

I'm saying that homework doesn't really do anything. It's supposed to help you review for what you've done in class, but most people already get the point and if you didn't you could study up on your own.

 

They do it to help you at the end of the day because it helps the teachers decide what you need help with so if you are having problems with the subject they can pay more attention to you instead of the people who understand the subject well enough not to need help.

If you don't do homework it makes the teachers job harder but its your decision if you do it at the end if the day but don't blame your teacher for not helping you because they couldn't determine you needed help in that subject.

 

i wish it was, but i doubt that it'll happen lol :S
