Shorter time between each spam report.

I think it's really great that there's this limit, but I think 1 minut is too long. Sometimes there's many threads to report (example missing screenshots etc.), so I would really like this time to be set to 30 seconds or something like that instead.

Also, why does it say 'email'?

 

It used to be 300 seconds (5 minutes) but it was shortened due to demand from members. The issue being, if it gets any shorter and members are posting several reports in a short time it could cause issues with the server.

An easy way to get around this is leave one report open and just post the links of the posts/threads that need to be moderated into that one report. The moderator who is handling your Spam Report will deal with them.

I PMed Sythe about the limit a while back and he changed it from five minutes to one. However, he changed it to one minute for a reason. While five minutes was over-restrictive, one minute is a good set time to prevent abuse. If you can actually find good posts to report quicker than every one minute, just add them as tabs and come back to them later.

 

I honestly believe this will make the Oblivion guy rejoice. That dude from what i've heard sends 20 reports a day. But honestly i dont think it should be used as much, and waiting a minute wouldnt hurt.

 

I'm afraid that one minute is the best compromise we can make between user satisfaction and site uptime, and even that favors you guys over the server.

 

That's exactly what I do. Just open multiple tabs, the 1 minute timer is necessary to prevent spam.
