    How to negotiate?

    They're going to put up a front where if you try getting like 1 grand off, they offer like $200 off. Don't fall for this shit as they're trying to maximize profit. Last year about this time my father showed me exactly what I'm telling you. He already knew what car he was going to buy, but brought me to multiple places to show how well he can get a price down. Ill make a list oh what he told me.

    1.) Don't ever pay sticker, negotiate till they won't go down anymore.
    2.) salesman can be pushy, so be pushy back. Show interest in multiple cars the first time you show up
    3.)Show up multiple times looking at the same car, show interest but NOT commitment, the less convinced you look the more they're willing to knock off to have you buy the car today.
    3.)Bring a mechanic the last time to find any flaws on the car the dealer is trying to hid, and point them out in front of him including things like tire balding and noticeable things that the everyday person can see, it will lower the price
    4.) Offer all cash.
    5.) If your not desperate wait to do the final offer you'll give for a week or weekend where the weather is bad. When the weather is bad they are not selling as many cars and are willing to lose a little to gain some sort of profit for the time span.
    6.) If they don't accept the last offer you give on your second - third time looking at it, hand them a card with your name and number on it. Also the vehicle your looking at.
    7.) If they are NOT budging much at all then simply leave the lot and look for a car somewhere else. Never fully commit to a car until it's inspected with a clean title and a trusted mechanics opinion.
    8.) do some research on the car you want before looking around. find common issues and approximate the mileage where the problem occurs. Then when you look you can ask questions about it, and find out if the dealer is knowledgeable in the vehicle or simply just bought the vehicle for cheap at an action and is trying to make a quick flip.

    We bought a 2000 Buick Regal last year doing these things, sticker price was $4900, We worked it all the way down to $4000 including all fee's for transferring titles, and we got tabs included with it. If you think about it that's like 20% off sticker which is a great deal.

    Hope I helped. I just hate how shady some places/people can be to get more money.

    EDIT: there's even more things you can do. These are just main ones i remember. SORRY IT'S NOT IN A ORGANIZED MANOR.

    How to negotiate?

    By the way should i bring a mechanic for example if tommorow i see the car and i like it, should i negotiate a price and then get a mechanic ? Because id have to pay a mechanic then i would be more pressured to buy it so maybe i could tell the seller like I will agree on this price but my mechanic will look at it??

    How to negotiate?

    Negotiate a price and leave the lot. Keep that number. Later go back with a mechanic (usually like $65) and have him point out any flaws. If they are any flaws at all speak up about it in front of them. Then you can probably get the car for even lower yet.

    ~~~~~~~~~~ NEVER JUST BUY A CAR ON THE FIRST DAY ~~~~~~~~~
    and don't get a mechanic until you fell comfortable on the car and are willing to pay the price established before you bring him/her in. Because there might not be anything wrong with it at all and if that's the case then there's no more lowering of the price. Also suggest you Kelly Blue Book it so you know the real base value of a car.
    EDIT: Some common issues are throttle delay, sunroof jamming, lose clutch pedals, HVAC lights flickering, And almost all of them have a rattle of some sort in a certain part of the vehicle. So i suggest a test drive and you to really work the thing. Hit the pedal a couple of times, break heavy once or twice. Also make sure all features inside work. (heat/AC etc...)
    How to negotiate?
    Alright perfect perfect, man thank you so much ! you literally answered all the questions i wanted and gave me a perfect game plan!! Tommorow im going with my step mom to look at 3 scions we found online and test drive them etc. Ill be sure to negotiate a price set on that price, assuming the car is PERFECT and i will then bring a mechanic possibly the following day to check out the all the bells and whistles
    Question: Are Salvaged Titles Or Rebuilt Titles Bad?
    How to negotiate?
    I was taught this in a business class, all cars usually have a piece of paper stuck on the inside of the window with black symbols and information on the car, these symbols (different with every car seller) which tells the salesman the lowest possible price he can bargain down to without getting someone like the manager.
    I'm not sure if this is for used cars as well as new cars, but it's something to go on.
    How to negotiate?
    Yes, don't quote me but salvage is when the vehicle is TOTALED and rebuilt. Meaning you can't insure it to what you want.
    Rebuilt title sounds pretty explanatory. If a car needs to be rebuilt I wouldn't trust it. Go find a car that hasn't been in a wreck or destroyed in some sort of event.
