Hey i just bought an rs acc and im wondering when i should change the password so the acc does not get locked i bought it like 14 hours ago, someone who has experience please reply on what i should do and when i should change the password, the person who sold it wont scam due to his 1.4k vouches and he hasnt touched the acc he said wait some time before changing so uhh it's been like 14 hours you think i should change it now or how long should i wait?

 

Lol. They will not lock an account because you change the password. Trust me dude, you can change the password whenever you want.

 

what about recovery questions..?

 

just change all that, the only way it will get locked if it keeps getting recovered back and forth between IP's.

 

Just change the recoverie questions when you want to. When jagex start getting suspicous is when theres like 10 recovery reuqests by like 3 IPs.

 

does jagex even really check ips? i think if its just recovered in general 5 times or so they would lock it

 

You'll be fine mate. As long as the seller's trusted you're in the clear.

 

I'm pretty sure it won't get locked if you change those settings.
Accounts usualy get locked when different IP's try to recover an account.

 

You should change the password immediately, and set recoveries/safety information, they only way it will get locked is if it is requested or it switches from multiple IP addresses rapidly multiple times.

 

when you buy an acc, once you get it you should change the pass, recovs and email associated with it asap.

 

They won't lock it if you change the password.. If he's trusted i doubt it will get locked anyway.

OT: you're safe to change pass, email and recoveries. but im not sure if u should start putting members on it though, the last time i bought and account and put members on it after a few hrs, it got locked

 

You can change all the information and even buy member on it and it won't get locked. The only way it can get locked is if you type wrong password alot of times, or someone try to recover it.
