If a youtuber (or anyone) decided that they didn't want their username anymore and decide to change their name, why would this break a rule if someone picks it up? I believe that @Lubana is using the word "Snipe" pretty loosely here, even though it does still apply. I know the wording is sensitive to our community but I think its important to understand the situation at hand better before accusing of rule breaking.

Consider this example:

- Wortel is known on youtube as Realpker1 for 5 years.
- Wortel decides after 5 years its time to redefine himself under a new username, RealPVMer9, he changes his name so that Realpker1 is no longer associated to his account.
- Lubana takes Realpker1, posts on sythe that he's taken Wortel's unwanted username and that he wants to sell it for profits.

If @Lubana takes Wortels unwanted original username that he was previously known for, what is the harm in that?

 

The user simply took names that were open to the public after someone decided to change them and leave them up for grabs for anyone to take. His wording may appear confusing, but it seems like no malicious intent was made here. @Majora I appreciate the input and the example you included fit well here, but there's no need to do so on the thread itself. Just leave it for a staff member to handle, and if you'd like to PM them with your opinion (to take into consideration), then you're more than welcome to do so.
