Selling VIA WU

Hey guys, I have a question about selling through WU.

How exactly does it work?

Say I wanted to sell some 07 gp?

I think the minimum is 100$ and they take a big fee, % escapes me.

You can either receive it in person as soon as it's sent or you can wait a period of working days and have it put in your bank account. To pick up IRL you just need a form of official ID like a driver's lisence or passport that matches the name the sender gave, the sender's name and the MTCN number provided to the sender once sent. You fill in a quick form at the store and they give you your money.

Money transfer control number. The sender will be given it and they give it to you so the WU clerk can look up the payment and check your info matches. The MTCN can also be used to track the payment online to see the "sent" status.

Any time Remember it's not really worth it unless it's a bigger transaction because of the fees.

 

I don't believe there is a minimum amount you have to send for Western Union. If you do, it's most likely in the range of $20-$30.

As far as fees go, it seems as if they charge a $5 fee for every additional $50 you want to send (with a $5 starter fee).

I believe that's how the system currently works, but it may be different depending on the countries involved.

 

Perhaps it was because it was cross-continent I had that in my head

 

If you live in the US and you're sending within the US, do Walmart to Walmart. It costs 9.50$ to send up to 900$.

 

So that Walmart thing is between Walmart, how does it work?

 

The fees depend on where the money is coming from and where the money is going to, and what type of payment (money in minutes, next day, etc).

In addition to what Unb4nn3d said, the fees are only $15 for $150 to $499, $20 for $500 to $999, etc, so you save when selling a bulk amount of gold.

 

It's the exact same as wu and MG. You go to the money center or service desk at Walmart. Fill out a form basically asking to which state and whose name you are sending it to. Give them money and they give you a code.

For receiving you just get the code and go to Walmart and pick it up. They may ask you the name of the sender though.

 

i have personally picked up many WU orders irl all you need is your ID the money tracking number there first and last name and where the money was sent easy as that no chargebacks money in hand if your taking WU i would recommend having the buyer pay fees if your the seller vise versa.

 

Depends the country you're sending from, from china where most gold sellers are from its $15 for up to 1k and 1k+ $20 and 5k+ $25 I believe. Best thing about Western Union though is the currency exchange rates, paypal and other money transmitters take a huge currency conversion if you're wanting anything else than USD.
